✨🧜‍♀️Mermay 2 // Preview + Process🧜‍♀️✨ (Patreon)

Hi ! 🌸

It took a while, but here is Mermay #2 !

S t e p  1
Sketch ! I use Canson Montval paper and a red/brown Prismacolor pencil

First ink layer. I chose two shades of blue (victoria blue and cyan) and magenta.

Second layer ! I started adding details to the illustration with a darker blue

I added a layer of marker on the mermaids and the water so the blue stands out more.
And my favorite part - 3rd layer of dark blue for the sky and foreground !

Some pink marker on the ladies' hair and tales. I didn't like that orange pink though.

Outlines ! I messed up the mermaid's mouth so I covered it with gouache.
I also added some little details with white gouache.

I didn't like the orange pink color on the mermaid's hair, so I covered it with pink gouache, and added some pink in the clouds and water too !

And here's the final picture I'll post on Instagram tomorrow :

This one was a real challenge for me !
