Mermay #2 🏺✨ Behind the scenes (Patreon)

Hello Patrons,

Here's my second illustration for Mermay ! 🐟
I know it's supposed to be a drawing a day but I am going to paint whenever I feel like it !

I wanted to paint another vase mermaid. I did 3 sketches on my iPad - a Greek vase, a Chinese vase and an Art Nouveau vase. 

Here's the sketch :

I started painting the vase because the biggest challenge for me was to do to the gradient :

I added a nose (her face was so small I didn't even try to paint it), some details on the fish, added a glowing effect (?) on the vase and fixed the wonky vase (at the bottom).

I edited it on Procreate on my iPad !

I posted this version on Instagram. I will scan it and fix it on Photoshop later to make prints in the future !
