Celestial Dragon ⭐ New illustration ⭐ Preview + Process (Patreon)

Hello Patrons 🌷

I sketched a bit last weekend and wanted to draw a dragon for the new year ! So I came up with a princess a dragon inspired by medieval art !

Here's the sketch on paper (I always sketch on my iPad, print out the sketch on paper and trace it on watercolor paper)

As usual, I outline the important lines with black acryla gouache

Dragon !!

This is what I did the first day (I think I worked on it for about 3 hours, maybe 4 ?)

I didn't like the face, so I took a picture before painting over her mouth + chin

I finished it today (the second day of painting). It took about 2 hours to finish it 🐲

I really enjoyed painting the gradient in her dress and in the dragon ! And I think the result is fun too 🥰

I am going to post it on my Instagram later today. I hope you'll like it !!

I also wanted to paint something in the same colors as the Méduse painting I did... Maybe for February too ?? I'm not a big fan of the Dragon Vase illustration so I thought I'd try to make a matching illustration for February (just in case).
I didn't think I would be able to work in January, turns out I can ! So would you prefer this illustration for February's reward (instead of the Dragon Vase one ?)
Let me know !! I'll make a poll tomorrow to ask you what combo would be best for next month (Dragon Vase can be used for another month too !)
