Little Women 📚✨ Movie Study ! (Patreon)

A few weeks ago, I asked for movie suggestions on Instagram to paint a little study. It's been a while ! I had so many requests for Pride & Prejudice (again) and a lot for Little Women.

I had some free time yesterday so I drew a scene from Little Women. It's funny because this image is everywhere on Pinterest but not in the movie - it's the same scene but not the same shot/angle ? Do you guys know where it's actually from ?

I wanted to film the process, so I didn't document with pictures. And I ended up recording just the first steps (the background), then gave up (that's how much I like to film when I paint !! 🙊)

Just like the Pride & Prejudice frame, I painted the background neon pink to have this nice pink glow that comes from underneath the layers of paint.

This is the first picture I took, and I realized this is the exact moment when you look at your painting and think "trust the process" because this stage is uglyyy

I ended up changing the colors of the orange trees in the background with a soft, muted orange / brown. It was difficult to make the characters stand out ! I struggled with it, there's a lot I could have done differently - but I shouldn't worry about it too much, it's just a study !

My favorite part of this painting is Timothée Chalamet's face I think. I never paint men so that was fun !
