Happy Halloween! (Patreon)

Back in 1996, BME/Extreme was just getting started, and Shannon Larratt temporarily moved from his home in Toronto, Ontario to Philadelphia, PA. The middle school era of body modification, pushed to unimaginable public exposure thanks to magazines like Tattoo Savage, and In the Flesh, as well as BME/Extreme and my own spcOnline site, was beginning to become somewhat of a thing,
Implants, which had previously been situated mostly in the world of cosmetic surgery via breast augmentation, or much more niche procedures like pearling (1), were moving out of more intimate anatomy and into foreheads, hands, and other public facing spots.
Shannon had a set of teflon forehead implants, inspired by the Cardassians on Star Trek DS9, performed by a well known traveling practitioner, but Shannon being Shannon, decided that one was a little crooked and tasked another well known (but in this instance, local to Philadelphia) practitioner to straighten it out.
The problem being- the practitioner didn't have much in the way of experience working with 3D art implants, nor the tools to perform them, so with the credo of needs make must, used the flat end of a fork handle as a dermal elevation device.
We may not be here for a long time, but we sure as heck were here for a good time.
These photos originally appeared on my spcOnline site in 1996 or 97.
Happy Halloween, y'all!
