I was chatting with Paul King from the Body Piercing Archive the other day- around the same time I scanned this picture - about Paul McNaughton/TatuScotty and didn't realize that it was Scotty in the picture with Dr. Jim Orr (right) until after the chat. Total coincidence.

We talked a little about Paul last year (which you can read here) but despite appearing a few times here and on Occult Vibrations, haven't touched on Dr. Orr.

"Jerry did his entire back in 5 days flat. Back in the late 60's flights to Hawaii were horrendously expensive, so Dr. Orr and Jerry planned it so it would not be a multiple trip backpiece." - Doug Hardy, 2013.

The back pieces and body suits that Norman "Sailor Jerry" Collins completed during his legendary career have almost all been referred to by tattoo talking heads as "iconic" but the suit he did on Dr. Orr, later the pediatrician to Don Ed Hardy's son Doug, is truly spectacular.

You can see a younger Dr. Orr in this post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/doctors-lemme-43538892
