how are you feeling about madney's (maddie & chimney) relationship developing? and any theories on what jason bailey/doug got planned based on what he did in this episode? also happy Elf-Lady Assumes Buck And Eddie Are Christopher's Dads episode lol

"Fun(?)" fact - The actor who plays Doug is played by Maddie's (the actress's) real-life husband. She knew when coming into this show that this storyline would be difficult for her, so she asked for her husband to play Doug so she could have someone she trusted doing the scenes with her.

When discussing Shannon and Eddie's situation with Chimney, Buck is obviously super curious about it, but when talking to Eddie, Buck tries to play it cool and takes a very "whatever you feel like telling me" attitude. What do you think the reasons are for this? Do you have any thoughts about the person that Buck is with Eddie in general compared to with other characters? For instance, Buck takes a bit of an immature approach to Maddie not being hyped about Christmas, but presents himself more maturely when going with Eddie and Chris to see Santa (even being mistaken for Chris's other parent). Neither seems inauthentic to Buck. He's just being himself - but do you think you are different versions of yourself around different people? Do you think that the person he is with Eddie - stepping up and arranging for Chris to come to the fire station in 2x4, arranging for Eddie and Carla to meet - is the kind of person he wants Buck 2.0 to be?

If you think about it, just 11 episodes ago, Athena was telling that one guy she met in the bar she wasn't ready for a serious relationship, Bobby was actively suicidal, Buck was building his life around Abby, Chimney was recovering from rebar through his skull, and we didn't even know Maddie and Eddie existed. Given the amount of changes these characters have gone through in 11 episodes, do you have any predictions about how different their lives will be another 10-11 episodes from now?

i always thought that the elf lady assuming that buck and eddie were together was really funny, considering the fact that buck doesn’t correct her - what are your thoughts on that scene?
