Now that you are on season 2, have you considered watching The Pitt Podcast? It aired right after each episode of the show. It doesn't give any spoilers but it does talk to the actors, real doctors, writers, production crew and is very interesting. I recommend it as something for yourself, not necessarily for a reaction video. Season 2, "7:00 A.M." Immediate thoughts on the new doctor who will be running the place when Robby takes his sabbatical? Do you think she can handle the ER?

Episode 14: This show is essentially filmed like theatre in the round, as in the audience has 360 degree view. Crew were made to wear scrubs to blend in to the background when the camera pans out, or cast is moving around delivering lines. The show in general is shot chronologically and as a result a lot of the budget of the show is spent on actors remaining in the ED so we can see them from episode to episode. The triage system explained in this show may seem harsh (evaluate someone in 10 seconds) but it is very realistic. In a mass casualty incident (MCI), resources are stretched thin and hospitals are overwhelmed, we prioritize who we can save with what we have, even if under normal circumstances, we would have the time to focus on one patient and potentially saving them. Youโ€™re seeing the victims that made it to the hospital. EMS on scene is doing what they can (our protocol is under 1 minute) to stabilize for transport while also keeping a look out for a secondary shooting. This MCI is modeled under the real story of the mass shooting that happened in Las Vegas in 2017. Learning from that experience, also allowed emergency staff to implement new protocols (like the snap bracelets and secondary triage to reevaluate). Many of the victims injuries displayed throughout are pulled from that event.
