About the kid with measles.... In my home state of Maine, "Maine law prohibits Philosophical and Religious exemptions for public and private school student immunizations. Only waivers for medical reasons, certified by a licensed health care provider." This law was passed a few years ago, when measles cases started to reappear, because people were refusing to vaccinate their kids. So, anti-vax people basically have to home school their kids, as opposed to putting others kids in danger. Considering measles was almost completely wiped out in this country, I appreciate the state making that law. I have grandkids in elementary school now. The Pitt was nominated for something like 13 Emmys for the first season. It won several, including Lead Actor for Noah Wyle, Supporting Actress for Katherine LaNasa (Charge Nurse Dana), and Outstanding Drama Series. It has 25 nominations this year. Looking forward to you watching the next season!

Have you watched "Breaking Bad"? Taylor Dearden (Dr. King) is the real life daughter of Bryan Cranston, who played Walter.

so so glad you came around to santos as she is my favourite character and as you said perfectly, there is so much more to her than meets the eye and she is someone who has gone through some very serious shit in her life and puts up walls as to not let others see beneath it but she is so kind and caring beneath it all! cant wait to jump into season 2 with you!

About the reason that Dr. Ellis gets moved away from the accident victim is a bit like you mentioned. Her mistake was getting into her head. It’s easy to get narrow focused on that mistake and then second guess what you do moving forward. Often times you get moved until there’s a moment of debrief so you can talk through what can be learned. Also, since she’s just a resident there were more pressing things that she could attend to in the hand off process between day and night shift while 3 actual attendings work on this patient.

Just a clarification: Dr. Robbie isn’t a military veteran, only Abbot is. Any of the procedures that Robbie performs that the younger doctors don’t know are just old-school, not necessarily combat medicine. I’m excited to rewatch season 2 along with you!

Abbot's reactions to finding out that Robby took the dad of the Measles kid into their makeshift morgue especially because its a crime scene will never not get to me. About Abbot's prosthetic, the moment they show it is where we learn that not only is he a veteran but he has sustained an injury during his time in the military, it is a good touch in getting to know his background and what he has been through as a person.
