Definitely not a favourite episode but a decent one all round. I just NEED some more leads/info on their Dad! I feel like I am gnawing at my cage for some info 😂

"The Invisible Man" comment was referring to an iconic classic horror character originally from the 19th century novel by HG Wells and then from the black and white film from 1933 where he's played by Claude Rains. The Invisible Man is less popular, but it's apart of the kinda iconic collection of classic black and white horror films or the Universal Monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Wolf Man, the Creature from the Black Lagoon, etc. This also isn't a favorite of mine, but I like the concept of this spirit latching onto someone's repressed emotions, especially when those repressed emotions are something Lori clearly struggled so hard with. She clearly resented the way her father raised her and the strict sense of morality she was taught and she wanted to be able to experience more out of life. Not her fault that the spirit of a murderer latched onto her deeper fears. And it was clumsily done imo but this episode does start to float the concept of Sam eventually being able to move on from Jess. Which is a little surprising since when you consider the probable timeline of the show it's probably only been about 2 maybe 3 months, but in terms of the greater picture, he's gotta move on at some point. And I appreciate that they establish that he's not actually there yet. Also I love Dean and appreciate what his womanizing and sexually liberated behavior does narratively and how they expand on his character further down the road, but it's my least favorite thing about him lol definitely why I became a Sam girl early on.

Fraternities and sororities have always been such a weird concept to me. I don't think we have those where I live and if we do they're definitely not as big a deal as they are in America. Ofc we have been made aware just what these frats are really about recently, unfortunately. Sick and twisted. Definitely one of those things that doesn't age well in media. And, yeah, Dean's sexual comments left and right - DEFINITELY a product of its time. I've always been a Dean girl (as an aroace, I'm in the minority of it being totally platonic lol) but man, dude. Calm down a little.
