I Landed a Spaceship in a Fantasy Kingdom + QoL Update (Patreon)
Content
Hey everyone, something I've been asked a few times since release is whether Augur: Fantasy and Augur: Sci-Fi can be used in the same campaign.
The short answer is yes.... The longer answer involves landing a spaceship in a medieval kingdom, taking control of a castle, joining the local faction, and inviting the former ruler to leave the planet as a new crewmember.
Check the video if you are curious how to do it. Its really easy as I made everything with the express intention of being compatible and interchangeable.
Nexus 1.5.2 Makes It Easier To Read
On a different note, I released a small QoL update for nexus today, it tackles mostly UI quirks and small bugs. But the most important one is probably that you can now resize the fonts of the Nexus dossier panels (NPCs, Factions, Ships and so on), the original ones were way to small and now you can choose between three presets that make it all easier on the eyes.
Clearer NPC Roles And Relationships
NPC dossiers now present important roles more reliably.
An NPC's highest-ranked faction membership appears in the prominent left column, while their other memberships and faction relationships remain visible in World Ties. Non-member relationships now appear there too, so somebody can distrust, oppose, owe, or support a faction without being treated as one of its members.
Duplicated responsibility cards have also been removed. A Location Ruler or Location Owner connection no longer appears twice simply because it was important enough to occupy the prominent position.
That is why Rhea's new life makes sense in one panel. Nexus can show that she commands a ship, rules a fantasy castle, and serves a local kingdom without losing the connections she brought from the Sci-Fi side of the campaign.
More Improvements In 1.5.2
The update also includes several smaller quality-of-life improvements:
- Sites created through *From Image* now also preserve the source image's proportions on extremely wide or narrow maps.
- Site dossier subtitles can remain automatic, use custom text, or be hidden entirely.
- The portrait selection window now keeps a stable grid instead of occasionally collapsing until only the top of each portrait is visible.
- Text-size behavior is now consistent across compact dossiers, trade panels, shops, and the Nexus browser.
Thank you to everyone who reported issues and sent screenshots after the 1.5.1 releases. Those reports led directly to the improvements in this update.
