the current quest i've been working on is approaching 15k words and i am definitely not done with it yet. there's still one character i haven't written at all... and a handful of details and rough edges to sort out.
but it's at least at a milestone for editing.
and i have escaped the annoying part !!!!
for now.

man, it's like, writing is a lot of work or something.
think i'm going to need to accept a break tomorrow, and i think i'm going to need to take a little bit more time before coming directly back to this section otherwise i will just be frustrated and impatient with it still.
good thing there is absolutely no shortage of parts to work on.
