had to skip yesterday... i Put Myself In The Room on the heels of sending a difficult text message, opened the writing program, and then basically burst into tears.
it's all fine now, i've since dealt with the resulting conversation... but it wasn't going to happen last night.
i did do some code stuff yesterday, so i can more easily forgive myself of it.

i have heard that a couple people around here who were struggling with writing lately have had more success with it lately!
keep that up!!
i am proud of you for it!!!!

i have the selfish temptation to hope "maybe i was able to help a little bit," but whether or not what i've been saying has been helpful, the bottom line is that if you're a person who is working on a creative project, you are entirely responsible for your own success.
the victory belongs solely to you.
so does the onus and ability to continue prevailing.

...stilllll, forgive me if i hold the positives close to my chest and take them as tacit encouragement to continue my holier-than-thou advice streak.

media analysis, specifically in the vein of "how does a piece of media create a certain effect" is something i learned young and practiced over a long period of time. it is a habit that i struggle to turn off at times, even to my detriment to enjoy that media.
so i feel that i have a lot to say on how things can or should be done.
i have been wont to indulge in this privately, but publicly (even here) i often refrain because i typically feel that i haven't yet earned the "right" to speak on it through producing adequate works of merit.
i recognize this is silly, and i realize that if i were to fully subscribe to that reservation i would likely never feel like i have the "right" no matter what i output.

anyway, this is to say i have been enjoying taking the liberty of being full enough of myself so as to presume that what i have to say is valuable, and that i suspect perhaps i will continue to do so.

even if i somehow run out of writing advice, games are a diverse industry, and i have paid enough attention to all aspects of them to at least know how much i still have left to learn.

c: hun im worried.
