smeargle kill't it.

this is just out of the editor since we don't have the opponent's version in-game yet but stillllll this shit so smooth it looks like somethin' straight out of gen 4-- but! with the classic gen 1 sound effect, which i don't know if it's just the nostalgia puppy runnin' around inside me, but that is like aural candy to my ears

originally smeargle showed us this preview to get our feedback on it:

which certainly has quite a bit of work in it, but those dark edges are kind of jarring, right?
little did he know they actually make a -very- smooth Add-mode blend, and applying that on my suggestion was all it took to get the beam to look so good as in the first one (add-mode: darker areas are more transparent, lighter ones are more opaque, whole graphic is applied as a light effect)

so anyway i'm super pleased with how this came out. PULSE Abra gon' be feelin' funky fresh.

Shout outs to Sapphira for being a complete savage and blasting Dr. Sigmund through the wall with Hyper Beam. That animation is amazing!

idk, if u ask me, that could be higher up than 4th gen. also, using the 1st gen sound-effect is awesome <3 while it's a strange sound, nostalgia factor indeed. lovin' it!

Why do I look at this and think of a Masenko blast? Flipping awesome!

I really like the animation of the hyper beam, but the center of the beam seems far too bright to me. Would it be possible to change the center to a more yellow color or otherwise make the outline a little thicker? Just my opinion, overall it is done very well.

since it's a blend-mode (and it's rather all-or-nothing) it'd be a bit difficult to do that-- could possibly put a yellow base under it for the color but my personal opinion is that white looks better... do others think differently?
