like i said, eventing is much quicker. the new intro isn't terribly long-- but longer and much more interesting than it was before. and here it is, done quick and clean.

and some better explosion sound effects too, ne?

this video was mainly made to show you guys but i may make it public in a week or two depending on my feeling of it, so consider this early access or something-- patreon says that early access is a good thing. or something.

This intro is amazing; much better than the previous one. Having the character selection as part of the train ticket was a fantastic idea, the train cruising through the desert map is crisp and fluid, having both the Absol and Shade appear is perfect, and I love how Ame throws us out the window, explaining why she and us are the only survivors. It's perfect. Two things: One – Another reason I feel as though having Ame in the train is a nice touch because it actually gives Team Meteor a reason to blow up the train. Ame, the champion, is coming back to Reborn and the best way to get rid of her without actually fighting her would be to blow up her means of transportation. In my opinion, I feel like that’s a better motivation than “Oh, we just didn’t want anything arriving/leaving the city”. When we confront Sirius in the factory and he admits to having blown up the train, Julia/Florinia could ask “Why did you do it?” and he could say “Because SHE was on it.” It would help foreshadow the fact that Ame’s the champion, instead of the random “Oh LOL, it’s me.” we get in Ep16. Two – I’d love if there was visual reference for the boyfriend of the girl who’s standing next to the train station who dies in the crash (or is it a guy’s wife? I haven’t played the start of the game for a while). Either way, there’s an NPC who claims a loved one died in the train explosion. I feel like it would be a nice, dark touch if you could add a line saying “They should be easy to recognize, since they're always wearing a lime green shirt. And yet…” and have one of the NPCs in the train actually wear a lime green shirt. #ForTheMemes

That's awesome.

AAayayyyyyy! Absol! ^^ One thing you could do, if you like this trope, is have one show up, and then more, and then more as you get closer to the blast site. Just a thought. I loved it!

Such awesomeness~ I especially love how Shade appears so briefly, a first time player likely won't even notice him :D A little nitpick, though: To me the word shithole feels a tad too harsh. Not because it doesn't fit but because it feels like it foreshadows too much and takes away from the shock value when the train suddenly explodes. On the other hand, showing all the playable characters in the same carriage adds infinitely to the shock. I mean, they were there, and suddenly they are no more :S

about the first point-- i was thinking the same thing! i think there's a different point in the story rather than the factory when they mention grandview and how they blew it up to stop anyone from coming in... but i'm struggling to remember when that is. anyone else remember??? second-- that would be good to bring that together, yeah! i dont necessarily want to do that though because that would take away focus from the other player characters being there, and also it makes the train feel a bit smaller. like. we know of about eight people who were on this train, right? six of them were protags, then ame, then that guy (ye it was a guy). but it's a bit of an anomaly if all eight of them were in the same car when that train definitely has a lot more cars. so i think it wouldn't be worth adding him D:

*inarticulate pterodactyl screeching* HOLY TITS. That was so good. Just. Ugh. This definitely makes me happier with my decision to start over from the beginning, to get the Gen 7 experience. Few points: 1) The very first line: "will call here." Is this meant to be last call or roll call possibly? I don't really understand the line. 2) Are the character locations static? So, how Ame moves from talking to Kuro to talking to Lucia, if I chose Vero for instance, would she move from Kuro to Vero's location? Or would the Lucia "trade places" with Vero? 3) Right now, the interior train scene feels a bit... lifeless? Maybe add a bit of text dialogue that signals Ame "finishing" with Kuro and then moving on to the player? For example: "All right, we're done here. I'll see you again when we disembark." Ame moves to stand in the center of the train and pauses for a moment before continuing. "Okay, all that's left is..." Ame turns to face the player. "you." Then she moves on to sit down and face the player. I feel like something like this would make the scene feel a little more organic, so to say. Also, the rest of the train occupants feel like statues. Maybe add some random "fidget-y" movements, like turning from the window to facing forward and the like? 4) Last but not least, a random question! Will the slight view of the desert that we can see from Beryl be edited to the new #aesthetic?

Will Call is the name of... usually like a specific window or something at places where you go to pick up tickets. Lucia switches around as necessary. I could easily add a closing line for Kuro and some rough movements-- although the protag shouldn't have been the last one. As for the fourth one I really want to but there's some technical issues with it-- unlike other maps with panoramic views the beryl area uses map connections, which do not play nice at all with panoramas. so it would probably look very glitchy. i could recreate the bottom half of the map in tiles, but... panoramas scroll differently from tiles (which are what's currently used) so considering the smaller scale it would fall short of the required distance of beryl bridge. so it's... iffy. if i can figure out a work around i'd love to do that.
