Byxbysion Wasteland 

We don't really see how it alludes to how far the waste goes, for miles, but we do have the lore note of the waste coming back after so long... I think I would have liked to have the player explore -further- into the waste rather than just this small section but gosh I could've gone full tourmaline on it and nobody wants that.
plus that place is a lot more detailed and clustered than tourmaline by necessity so shrug

it leads to NOWHERE :D

in-game anyway, but as i was drawing the map i think i had a couple other ideas. one of them was from the server RP era-- I believe there were whispers in our RPs about Giratina being hidden below the wasteland-- or that maybe that was where I as a character in the RP world where Reborn fell into ruin in my absence, was stuck in. 

alternatively i feel like i might have planned an underground route through here to emerge at the wasteland's north entrance in chrysolia pass and get into tanzan/chrysolia that way
except no that's definitely not true cuz i remember wanting to go through the railnet for that
so shrug idk, a few things

but none of them are in game so lol

Wasteland Hideout

 Cain and Aya have made this area their frequent hangout, and use the space as their own stadium. 

not incorrect since the map's timeline is so murky but no mention of actually living there with their mom-- this makes it sound like it's just a secret clubhouse or something. maybe that would have been better idk.

Chrysolia Region

we have a few references to Mysidia here. if you were someone who played the older episodes you might remember that there were various references throughout the game to the Mysidia region, but they have since been removed and replaced with references to Orre. Mysidia was, for a long time, Reborn's sister site. When we were on Pokemon Online Mysidia was a somewhat bigger server with its own league as well, and I know the admin was also making his own fangame as well, well before I was. My hope when I first started referencing Mysidia was that people would be interested and find out about their fangame and play it too.

However, Mysidia kind of collapsed internally. Reborn ended up taking a number of its members, and the site fell into history. The site is still technically there, but hasn't been updated in years and the forums dont seem to work. So sad days. As far as I know their fangame, Pokemon Hall of Fame, was also never finished. I find their website here and the last post was from 2007. so. uh. lol. 

The references to Mysidia were replaced at the time I accepted that this had grown beyond being just an in-community game; I wanted to add something that would be more applicable to first-time players and not just veterans to Reborn, and would not leave expectation for a sequel or something, so I chose Orre.

Lost Railcave

more mysidia stuff. based on this description it seems like i was planning on doing a Lost Woods-style puzzle for this in the first placce
although a confession: it is inspired less by the lost woods and more by the wind fish's egg, which is technically the same mechanic but in link's awakening you have to get through the egg by going the direction that the eyes are not looking at. I believe I did something similar with the rails.

Tanzan Mountain

pretty accurate. i feel like i could've done more with this area because it barely is one but it serves the connecting role well enough. note no mention of Tanzan Depths. That'll be something else that was added below the surface.

Tanzan Meteor Base

vague description/10 but you can see this from the map, it like sticks out with a bit of glass... unfortunately that isn't really represented in-game; it feels buried completely. so I could have made that match better. It would've been cool to do more fancy stuff with the Abra room, like seeing parts of chrysolia through windows or something.

Tanzan Cove

oh yeah yeah i remember that when i first made this area i did the thing and then happened to get referred to this page later somehow and read this and I was like "wait lush flora and vines" ?? i dont remember that... let's add it retrospectively!

"scorch marks across the stone and ground"... we definitely don't have that though; just the grass being cleared around the house.

Belrose Manse

Though the house is owned instead by her elder sister, Laura lives here, and seldom leaves due to the tranquility of the area and her own shyness. 

seems like i'd planned on this being laura's gym before she was pulled into the E4. makes sense considering saphira and charlotte have labradorra/calcenon

hey this totally wasn't planned but i just realized that aside from being crystal names those two cities match their gym types. calcenon has the 'cal' root just like actual character 'cal's heat root pun, and labradorra, ending in dorra, would sound like how dragon would be pronounced in japanese

Chrysolia Pass

Chrysolia Pass runs from Tanzan Mountain right up against the city wall, and is the only route into the region barring the collapsed Railway Tunnels.

okay yeah so i was gonna have chrysolia pass be the way up to Aventurine and come out at that cave in the aventurine woods. buuuuut i made that connect to tanzan proabbly due to forgetting this, so i had chrysolia pass be a north entrance to wasteland shenanigans.

Spinel Town

 A small, quiet town separated from the city and city life. The people here have seen little of the the destruction the city has, and live peacefully to themselves. 

well that didn't quite happen.
good. would've been boring.

i think the reason this didnt happen was cuz i wanted a more concrete reason for chrysolia forest's fuckery, so I had the nearby spinel be affected as well? also worked out with the whole pokemart thing.

Voclain Estate

 It has since been in part converted to a gym, and she lives here with her son, Bennet, and adopted daughters, Luna and Gardevoir. 

again, murky timeline but not wrong since they do have their own rooms

maybe luna has a personal mission to see how many people she can get to adopt her

...i'm being called away for various things now so I guess I'll just leave it here for today. two more regions but they were smaller ones. shrug.
