Why is the Misc Update bar not real? (Patreon)

because it's all bugs and hot air,
both of which can be quickly burned to the ground.

the misc update bar is basically:

• do something to the existing part of the game, arbitrarily tick up the score to show some progress has been made
• after the episode is done, the remaining % is all dedicated to whatever outstanding bugs i have in my bug trough or have been reported on the forum.

so we're in that second part of the category
and that tends to go pretty quickly since the majority of the things that don't involve the scripts are just quick fixes
like last episode, we'll be putting a lot of the script bugs on backlog and launch with a hearty known bug list, because many of them are esoteric or won't have simple solutions, i don't think it's worth holding up the episode for them

there are several such bugs which i've outlined as a priority to fix before E18, such as that those that affect the leader's field, for instance. also AI is still outstanding. and the trainers to be done by someone else. and ikaru, our supervised testing veteran, has school stuff to take care of anyway. 

so probably supervised doesn't start until next week but i still plan to no life bug reports and then probably work a lot on starlight until the rest of that stuff is set. i've been super motivated for that lately. maybe cuz it's a lot more interesting than bug reports.
or maybe just cuz i'm usually super motivated for that. 

i'll talk about some of the longer-standing bugs that i'm getting fixed in a future post but for today have whatever this is
