so many angel girls, i know! don't worry; the cast is actually pretty balanced, it's just that this group is front-loaded.

Until the accident, Yuelle's future was brighter than anyone's. She had been a prodigal child gifted with magic power and finesse that most adults could only dream of. She, however, was only interested in her art-- from small figurines to towering sculptures, everything she made was meticulously and expertly crafted from the ice at her own finger tips...

Until her mother returned and, with all the gentleness of her usual kisses on the cheek, threw her off the side of the spire and left her for dead.

But she did not die.

Yuelle was paralyzed from the neck down. When she was recovered, it was all she could do to stay in her bed for months on end. Her art, her talent, her reason for living, were all gone. She would have rather been dead.

And then she had an idea. With a bit of help from her sister Aulyra, and the power of a common Core, she found she could still manipulate ice in the same way she always had for her art. It was shaky, and coarse-- not at all suited for sculpting-- but it could push her dead limbs around, and that was all she needed.

With a great effort, she laced bonds around her arms and a throne of ice beneath her body, and determined to make a life for herself yet.
