finished outlining the desert cliffs last night, among some other things.

the only thing that still needs to be done for the desert is filling in the cliffs and mountains-- but that's somewhat mindless so i'm going to pass that off for someone else to do. however, i can't do that until the map is 100% finished which means the next step is...

the scrapyard.

it's on the same map-- for now at least-- and i've intentionally left it blank so that i could focus on its own later (well, now.) since i have to make the full puzzle for it. not 100% sure how im going to do it but i do have a general concept sketched out already.

someone (i can't remember who :c wanna remind yourself to me?) during a previous stream suggested riding on a train busting through all the debris--
we're doin' it.

fun fact: that was basically the original concept for the railnet puzzle. rather than a door that opened with the correct tracks, i was going to have the player complete the tracks so they could just ram the fucking train through the collapsed wall and make an exit that way.

i ended up not doing that because i couldn't practically sprite the train going around curves as i would need it to.

but see in the scrapyard, with that much open space... there's no need for curves;

only mayhem.

giddyup, kiddos.
