Drakuse

This literally made my day, thank you so much 🙏🏼

I'm a firm believer in the 2nd watch through! You pick up on things you missed and appreciate it in a new way. Should definitely watch again with Morgan

Bob

Bless you.

Bob

I don't care if some people were disappointed that this wasn't done in episodes this is peak

I loved the movie and it’s my favourite match in the entire manga. It hit the feels perfectly. Though I’m sad they cut some really great moments, like Kenma watching Karasuno’s first nationals game and seeing them struggle against the underhand serve, so he told their pinch server to use that serve. Or when Kenma and Lev jump up for a block near the end when it goes first person in the movie, in the manga Lev actually bumped into him and knocked Kenma onto the floor and Lev checks if he is okay and Kenma shouts back “You idiot, the ball hasn’t hit the floor” which shocks everyone. Also a big moment I’m annoyed they left out was from their backstory. In the manga the whole backstory starts by Kenma saying “I bet no one would believe that Kuroo used to be worse than me” and then we see that when they were kids, Kuroo was way more shy and awkward than Kenma. And it was Kenma supporting him by going to volleyball with him that finally got Kuroo out of his shell. Kuroo basically didn’t talk at all even to Kenma. They would just silently play video games until Kenma asked him if there is anything else he wants to do, then Kuroo introduces him to volleyball. So sad we didn’t get that cuteness animated.

That last Kuroo Kenma bit sounds SO CUTE -Sam

Both your teams are pretty stacked and would be an awesome match to see that would go to the wire. But I kind of have to roll with Sam’s squad, just for the simple fact she has my favorite character in Oikawa😊😊😆😆

This was a very unexpected but super pleasant surprise. Appreciate you ladies given us this reaction with the tight schedule y’all have. Haikyuu is such a feel good and endearing series, that makes care and like numerous characters, which not an easy feat to achieve. This film was really good and fun.

blood_drac

who wants delicious in dungeon to be added? how about mushoku tensei and delicious in dungeon at the same time?

Merfhew

Just as your opinion is valid, so is the opinion of people who wanted episodes instead of a movie. And you never know, maybe they'll milk the hell out of this movie and the next Haikyuu movie by splicing them into a season of episodes with "never before seen moments" like DragonBall Super and Demon Slayer did with their movies.

It was great, glad we finally had a chance to watch! - Dani

Same here, watching with you guys reminded me of how much I really enjoyed this series.

Haikyuu could only be so lucky for that to happen

Dungeon Meshi has been on a few polls and has almost won most of them so it’ll probably come sooner or later

Bob

I would like to say I have not read the manga and I'm not fully trying to disregard those people's opinions. I'm more saying that from some of the things I saw on YT this movie was not really well received specifically when it was announced.

Azazelop

The people disappointed about the announcement weren’t mad this was being made into a movie. They were mad that the entire rest of the series is being made into 2 movies. There just isn’t enough time in 2 movies to cover the rest of the manga without cutting out huge chunks. Like this movie was around 30 chapters and it even cut out moments. The next movie will have to cover around 70 chapters to cover the rest of the manga. Which just isn’t possible. That’s why everyone was pissed at the movies announcement.

Bob

Ahhhh I see I didn't know that. I kinda just assumed they both covered about the same material in the manga. My bad.

rayman

what happened to the whole show? only the movie is here

Nelson Navarro

do you guys actually have a series reaction or is it just the movie? all i can find is the movie on your patreon and youtube :(

Phoebe

Loveddd this reaction!! Haikyu has such a special place in my heart 💖 I just recently binged the whole show after years of not consuming any content and let me tell you, literally the best decision ever! Just hits harder now that I used to watch it when I was in high school and now I'm an adult, it's just such a great show!! I never get sick of watching people react to this and I'd totally love to see you rewatch the series with Morgan, it'd be so fun to see you guys relive stuff while seeing her watch it for the first time!!

Why am I just now seeing this needed a pick me up badly
