While I already knew y’all were going to roll with the sub for obvious reasons, I do wish it was the dub. The different accents really do enrich the characters in my opinion. But nonetheless I can’t wait to see how y’all take to this wonderful series, it’s like watching a fairy tale storybook come to life.

The composer for the music in this series is Yuka Kitamura, She's the one who composed the music for Elden Ring, Dark Souls and Bloodborne, no wonder is amazing. Also the mangaka, Kamome Shirahama mainly draws with traditionally/analog tools (like ink, paper, pen etc.), she's so good, they really tried to do justice to her art with the adaptation and it shows.

I think you guys caught more minor details than any other reaction I've watched so far. The magic system in this series is so incredibly fleshed out that fans have been creating their own spells and can tell what a spell will do before it's finished being drawn in the show, so that level of observation will serve you well.

This is literally the 4th anime of Bug Films. They also animated Summertime Rendering... This studio literally could compete with mappa and ghibli... Their animation are so pretty and fluid.

I personally love the sub especially because of Natsuki Hanae (qifrey, tanjiro and okarun). I also agree with the sentiment of watching shows in original language. I’m not gonna watch the ATLA cartoon in Japanese or a Korean show in English. Gives you a chance to pick up a language too.

This is the second anime production by Bug Films. The first was Zom 100, which was plagued by production issues. The studio's founder and probably some core team members came from OLM where they had worked on other anime including Summertime Rendering. It's still not accurate to say that Bug Films produced those works under OLM.

I do agree with you on loving the sub buuuuuut I've always hated the argument of watching it in the 'original language.' There's a plethora/multitude of reasons why someone may not be able to watch something in its 'original language' and it really is a blessing when shows/movies put effort in releasing things in other languages for everyone to enjoy 😄 not trying to start an argument here about that just voicing my grievance with that notion lol

I liked what I heard of the dub except for Richeh's voice personally. Too much "affect" didn't sound natural to my ears

i'm not a dub hater but i think the dub is really bad for this one, the accents are weird and i disagree with the choice to make them sound british as someone who is a huge fan of the manga, you guys made an excellent choice, thank you!
