5:17 what happened there is that as crunchyroll usually does they screwed the translation. Subaru wanted to scape. He didn't want to die again and that is why he tried to leave the tower.

Going in to S4, I was kinda disappointed that we’d just have another “pass the trials” arc like S2 (though I loved that season), but this amnesia/murder mystery is such a good deviation.

51:05 this is not as important but that is another crunchyroll sub mistake. Subaru didn't call her "foxidna" which sounds like "eridona" in japanese. He just said "Echidna" wich is pronounced "ekidona"

React pack, this is a must-read for what you've forgotten: The reason Subaru fell for Emilia in season 1 was her personality. Even though she had really important matters to attend to with little time for her own needs, she still saved Subaru and helped that lost little kid. Subaru was left in awe after witnessing all of this. Also, she is his type. By the way, there are many mistakes in the season 4 subtitles because of Crunchyroll's laziness. As for who Subaru is acting like: he used some keywords to hint at his identity, saying "you're so full of flavor" and "I'll remember it for you". We also know someone from season 3 who calls Subaru a "hero" and can shapeshift. I am an anime-only, by the way. At first, I thought Gluttony shapeshifted into Rem and posed as her, but then Subaru got possessed. So, I guess Gluttony has the ability to possess him just like Betelgeuse did, I'm really not sure. Ram wasn't in Patrasche, by using her ability clairvoyance she just saw Subaru doing the shush sign to Patrasche through her eyes so she got suspicious of him. About the age: In season 1, Subaru is almost 18, so between seasons 1 and 2, he is 17-18. In season 3, a year passes, making him 18-19 there. Lastly, season 4 is the direct continuation of season 3 without a time jump, so he is still 18.5 maybe.

To better explain what is going on in chronological order. In episode 7, that was the night that Subaru lost his memory There are some key details on the night. -He had a revelation that the key to beating Reid was in the library. -When he went up to the library, he found Meilie snooping around. -After Meilie ran off, Subaru started reading a couple of books. There. There was ONE book that caused Subaru to have amnesia, and also caused the "Possession". -After Meilie returned, that's when "Possession" Subaru happened, and the whole conversation spiraled. -The next day, Emilia and Beatrice found Subaru passed out in the library. -That's when Amnesia Subaru introduced himself to the gang. - Two deaths later -Amnesia Subaru had had enough and decided to leave the tower, which is a no-no, because one of the rules states that leaving the tower is forbidden and activates Shaula to kill everyone in the tower. -Subaru falls into a sand pit. NOW here's the important part Every time it goes to black and shows the TV static, that's Amnesia Subaru blacking out and "Possession" Subaru coming out. In Episodes 9 and 10 -Amnesia Subaru gets surrounded by Bears under the sand -Subaru blacks out, and when he awakes, all the bears are dead (Most likely "Possession" Subaru killed them all) (FAST FOWARD) -Subaru returns from death -Meili asks Amnesia Subaru about their conversation yesterday. -Amnesia Subaru blacks out, and "Possession" Subaru comes out -While Amnesia Subaru blacked out, the "Possession" Subaru kills Meilie and sketch "NATSUKE SUBARU WAS HERE" to frame the original Subaru as a cold stone killer -Amnesia Subaru buys it and thinks that the original Subaru is a cold stone killer -Amnesia Subaru reads Meilie's Book of the Dead (FAST FOWARD) -Because Amnesia Subaru thinks that the original Subaru is a psychopathic killer, he wants to know why the gang loves him so much. Meilie, in his head, tries to convince Amnesia Subaru that, by killing everyone and reading their book of the dead, he will know why they love him. -The meeting happens, and everyone decides to halt the search for Meilie's body. -Amnesia Subaru awakens in the middle of the night to secure Meilie's body. -It was at the time that Ram used her clairvoyance on Patty to spy on Suabru. -Amnesia Subaru does a sush pose to Patty, which causes Ram to sus him out. -Amnesia Subaru discovers that Meilie's body is gone. -Ram confronts Amnesia Subaru and suspects that he is a fake. -Amnesia Subaru is contemplating killing Ram and has a vision of seeing Meilie's dead body. They did such a great job with the mind meld of Meili and Subaru after he reads the book. The Crunchyroll subs don’t do it justice. When he wakes up he says in female pronouns, “Watashi” because he basically lives her entire life in that moment. And then talks about Elsa not being there and then says something like Subaru killing, “me” like killing Meili. The mysteries in this show are always so fun lol.

Ram could only see through Patraches eyes. But this Subaru doesn't know how it works and he's so paranoid and scared he's assuming she must have seen everything

As an anime only, this feels like a spoiler. At least in terms of the possession stuff. I could be wrong. It looks like they set it up in a way that it’s a mystery and the the viewer doesn’t know wtf is going on since they cut it out when he did the reading of the books and stuff u mentioned(edit: I realize now that the reading Subaru did was this ep I was referring to when he had his revelation but still feels like a spoiler since it looks very obvious that it’s setup to be a mystery u piece together on ur own) then it’ll eventually show us what went down. I could be wrong but yeah kinda wish I didn’t read this comment kills the mystery thing it had going at least for me

subaru calling echidna foxidna was just a subtitle error, you can hear him say echidna rather than eridna (how foxidna sounds to me at least) it’s seriously so annoying how much subtitle errors occur with rezero. esp since its a very dialogue heavy show. there were so many errors last season ppl were making theories with blatantly wrong information 😭

I would 100% agree with you if I had watched the last 4 episodes once or twice, but I've watched them multiple times through other reactors, and picked up a lot of things I missed the first time I watched them. Everything except for the possession concept is observable in the animation and if you can follow the flow of events (which with this show can be difficult at times lol). With the possession thing, it doesn't outright say this is the case obviously but is heavily implied imo with the drastic change in Suburu's VA's voice and speech patterns in Meili's memories. I'm an anime only watcher as well so I could still be very wrong if the author throws a massive curveball in our faces but I'm about 95% sure that's what's happening. I totally see how you feel about the previous comment seeming like spoilers and I hate that it killed some of the excitement for you. Also I hope none of what I said seemed condescending in anyway, it's hard to not sound like an asshole through text 😂
