I know for sure that Asa means day in Japanese. So I think it's actually the opposite. Asa also has the power to "break" as in daybreak. I have no idea what Yuru's name means, though. Night is yoru not yuru afaik. Maybe a variant or a dialect? edit: nvm they explain it in this episode
