Just the way Rogue delivers “I can’t feel you” is so heartbreaking.

Nolan L Thomas

X-men at its core is a soap opera with crazy superhero action and adventure along the way. Cyclops’s speech to the reporter was so on point and pivotal, my guy was spitting nothing but fire facts.

Sleep Deprived Sal

Not the Winx club ref 😂😂 love it mad nostalgia

JuicyTortuga

Scott is so real for that interview

Dammy Oshikoya

100% on the Cyclops scene. Like humans in the marvel universe are so ungrateful, they whine/hate etc on the mutants but, when the world is in danger, they cry out for the xmen to save them. And well, can’t wait to get to a certain ep and a character says those three words.

christian

Ah yes I needed a good cry today

So in the last episode of the 1992 X-men series, Xavier was shot by Gyrich. In a last ditch effort, he left with Lilandra because they have advanced medical technology. So the X-Men went on as if he died but knew there was a possibility Xavier could live.

Calem

Those were great reactions, mon ami

JuicyTortuga

An important fact about Magneto is that he is a holocaust survivor, it's why he's so aggressive when he comes to protecting and fighting for the future of his people.

Narutoanime16

I love the family drama in X men everyone going through it lol. Lilandra was involved in the Phoniex stuff in the original show which is where her brother was trying to capture its power and destroy the universe. When Charles was shot at the last episode of OG Lilandra came and took him to her planet, the X men and Magneto are all aware of this but Charles never came back at all

Morgan can’t pick favorites anymore, now they can be spared lol

Grimm

Oh yeah its so cool you guys get to see this side of Marvel. Like in the comics Mutants are extremely hated still. You would also be surprise that Heroes also treat them badly *cough* Captain America *cough*.... jk no but for real some non mutant heroes hasn't really shown full support. X men and Spiderman really are the goats of Marvel.

Nolan L Thomas

Gambit is a smooth Ace who went out like a G, I adore how no matter the sentiment on the X-Men, each fan loves Storm. As a fellow Nightcrawler lover, Dani’s reaction to our guy makes me giddy.

Grimm

Cyclops was right!!

In regards to Magneto he’s so extreme because he’s a Holocaust survivor (there was a flash just before he started whipping that Sentinel with a train). He knows that humanity will discriminate against what’s different because he sees it as human nature. He survived it once as a Jew in Nazi Germany and so will do anything to stop it happening to mutants. For me it’s why I like Charles’ and his dynamic so well because Charles is optimistic and as he says values education but he’s also privileged as a white rich male with an invisible power. Yes he faces discrimination but his privilege is what (in my opinion) gives him such an optimistic view of mutant/human coexistence. Cable has met and fought with the X-Men in the original series (he was just a time traveller from the 3000s) so they know him but they never knew he was Scott and Jean’s (Madelyne’s) son. The Morlocks are a group of mutants who have visible physical mutations. They’re a lot similar to the heteromorphs from MHA actually. Magneto saved them in episode 2 and sent them to Genosha. Callisto (the woman with the patch who died) was their leader.

'Ronan the Accuser ' and the Kree were the villain in the first Guardians of the Galaxy movie

Beautiful episodes

Kionei

Been thinking about this all week.

Rinely

NOW YAH SEE WHY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN VOTING FOR THIS SHOW FOR SO LONG! Its legit the best product Marvel has put to TV or cinema in years and years, hell it might BE the best. I can't think of any other series that makes its dialogue SO GOOD but still sound like it came from a comic book and based on a 90s series. Plus idk how they manage to just shove so much content in half an hour run times. imo the best the X-Men ever was, was during the Claremont era, which is why Chris Claremont was the main writer of the series for two decades. Most of what will come into your mind when you think X-Men came from when he was leading the series. The show hits the tone of that era SO DAMNED WELL.

I signed up to the patreon a few hours ago as soon as I learned you guys were watching X-Men 97. 100% worth it.

Nolan L Thomas

Stuff like that are why the X-Men are the best superhero team in the Marvel universe.

Nolan L Thomas

Magnus mentally is basically, “We will get respect by any means necessary.”

Kionei

The dance song is "Happy Nation", from "Ace of Base"s 1992 debut album. You know, that group that did [I saw] "The Sign". It pains me to know that you three are likely all younger than that.

mundanelotus

The way episode 5 just ramps up everything to 11 is insane, like everything from the animation, dialogue, and music is just on another level

Narutoanime16

It’s just interesting how they treat the mutants , but when the X men are helping Ironman & Spiderman & the like it’s fine lol. Like Spiderman has a good relationship with the X men in this continuity

Demnevanni

In Mighty Nein it was the "Kryn" Empire; the "Kree" showed up as the bad guys in some MCU movies (Ronan, the green guy with the hammer, was the main antagonist in the first Guardians of the Galaxy; some other Kree were the bad guys in the first Captain Marvel movie)

Shaw

BLEEEEEEEEACH

BT

best episode this season

Hannibal Ascencio

It’s because of the original language, not the dub.

Sleep Deprived Sal

Which is why they show the imagery of his incarceration during that scene and the poetic way of using a train as a whip during that moment , a weapon normally used against the oppressed

thereactpack

WOOO Welcome! We are really enjoying it so far, it is SO beautifully written and the animation is captivating. sososoososo good!!

Stan

They already knew Cable because he was in the previous original series, he went back in the past before, he always identified himself as Cable, him being Jean and Scott son was never know til this episode. Sam, your questions you was looking for is in the in the original series. The series finale of the original show was Xavier flying off with them in space to cure an illness.

Engel

"Remember It" is essentially the X-Men in a nutshell. Part soap opera, part tragic events

Engel

Oh yea, Gambit died not knowing Rogue chose him.

Andor-lover

It wouldnt be a xmen without love triangles and constant drama

Gil

I don’t know if anyone mentioned this but at 20:34 if you pause you can see the outline of a character called the watcher In the night sky before the attack happens😭 basically if he’s watching your universe you’re pretty much cooked
