The animation of these Wan episodes reminds me of the artwork from ancient scrolls from Asian culture. It’s just beautiful.

Steven Yuen’s portrayal of Wan is when I discovered just how talented and versatile of a actor he is. I would definitely watch or read a series about Wan and his adventures. He definitely had some wild ones.

So much lore ! I love how Korra just expands on the avatar lore so much more, wonder if any other Avatar knew about rava

sam will be sobbing in season 3 lol

I would sell my soul for an avatar movie in the style of these episodes😭 I wish the franchise would explore the universe going back in time rather than forward, there's 10,000 years of lore we could explore

Great reaction, these two episodes are really my favorite of the whole show. I watched them so many times. It was lovely to watch you react to them and to see so many things click for Morgan.

There's some audio shenanigans. For example at 9:42, you can hear Sam's voice when she's not talking.

ty for catching that!! I fixed it and I will reupload a new version, shenanigan free! -Morgan

definitely my favorite 2 episodes so far, so creative and emotional!! -Morgan

I'm sorry Sam.. You do not have a good poker face lmao. But that's fine 'cause Morgan is staring at the camera, and its reaaaally funny watching you try to hold stuff in while Morgan is going off about her thoughts and theories. Honestly, Dani's isn't much better. These are some of my favorite two episodes in the whole Avatar universe. The lore is just so interesting. Like at some point spirits filled and controlled most of the world, while humans had to gather in rather isolated pockets, protected by lion turtles. Adds a lot of credence to the lion turtle that randomly decides to help Aang at the end of the original series.

These were my favorite episodes of Korra

These episodes are such a treat. Some of my favorites in all of Avatar.

It's cool how there are likely two Greek myths referenced here: One about Prometheus stealing fire from the gods and giving to humans. And two, Pandora opening the box like how Wan split Raava and Vaatu's connection, releasing darkness.

KTRB7

Not the sperm spirits at 13:53

It's probably a good thing that Air came after Fire because the 2nd avatar being born must have been very confusing lol. It's good that they were born into the chillest, most spiritual culture in that time.

that part at the end with raava literally makes me tear up every time there's something so touching and beautiful and kinda tragic about it.
