Nolan L Thomas

You should. It's very beautiful and captivating culture.

GrayStark

Brother your name is Naruto anime. You cannot be ignorant on ninjas😂

Narutoanime16

😂😂just the samurai stuff mainly like I know they value honor a lot more than ninjas do but that’s it

Kimi

If you do a deep dive on real samurai history you'll find out how heavily romanticized they are. There are a lot of accounts of them just being huge dickheads lol

Demnevanni

Samurai as a caste have a pretty long history and they fulfilled many different roles over time - the whole "we're all about honor" thing mostly came out of those two and a half centuries in the Edo period where there was a relatively stable peace and the mostly obsolete, rather privileged warrior caste tried to justify its continued existence (although a decent few of them were also working as administrators by then). The Samurai Rebellions during the Meiji Restoration were largely due to the Samurai not wanting to lose their status as a privileged class. Ironically, it was often the ninjas that were more fiercely loyal to their respective lords, while samurai were often more loyal in a mercenary sense than loyal to a specific person (depending on the time period and specific group of course, the famous "47 Ronin" are an example of a fiercely loyal group of samurai). Also, ninjas and samurai weren't fully distinct groups, a decent few were both trained as a ninja as well as a samurai.

Taigen as well as other characters are going to give you emotional whiplash in a good way. The only exception is Ringo who is consistently sweet.
