Sketch - From the first draft (and the script), I knew exactly what would happen on this page and how to represent it.

Definitive Sketch - The only addition was the dog's thought; I wanted to reinforce the sense of that shot and what he was thinking at that moment.

Lineart - I'm using a pen that creates a slightly rough stroke, thanks to a texture that adds some irregularity. The lines are intentionally messy or loosely defined. With light pressure (I'm using a Huion pen), the line becomes very thin, while stronger pressure produces a slightly wider stroke, still keeping a natural and dynamic feel.

Flat Coloring - Okay, I love the colors of these two characters...

Shadows and Highlights - Here, I had a lot of fun creating the backlight effect to make the wolf's boxers transparent. I also increased the contrast and made the shadows darker in the last shot to further emphasize the contrast.<<< PREV | FIRST | NEXT >>>

Looooove it! But i was pitty than the boop dissolves into the white background of the window! (by the way, I'm fond of those little silly onomatopeias you added) and all the work you do for the transparency it's chef kiss!!

hehehe thank you! I'm very satisfied with the result of this transparency hihih As for the "boop," this was still the phase without the layout, so without the outline. If you look at the final page (in last Monday's post), the onomatopoeia is quite legible. ;-)

That's true! Forgot that detail! Thank you for telling me!
