Tatiana, after I did your coastal landscape tutorial I decided to try to do one on my own. I found a reference image online. It was just a bunch of houses with the trees, bushes and flowers. I had to recreate some of the roofs and the balcony rails. I used drawing assist with symmetry to create one of the marble rail columns and then just duplicated and placed each one. I reused the orange planter from your tutorial as well as the orange cat. I do have quite a few plants and pots that I painted a couple years ago that I can reuse now. I also painted my own version of windows and doors from what I have learned from your tutorial. The man is made from a human pose outline stamp that I then colored. It’s not perfect but it will do.

I am slowly falling in love with Taty’s Dry Media set. Picking a set and some techniques from a tutorial then doing multiple pieces using that set is a fab way to learn 😊

My beautiful beloved best friend my darling cat Bijou died suddenly and utterly unexpectedly on Monday night August 10. I am utterly heartbroken devastated and lost 😞😢😭
I don’t know what to do when I wake up, and I am trapped at home with a chronic illness so her absence is echoing 100% of the time 😭 I am having so much difficulty coming to terms with the fact that she is gone. It was so sudden. She was only 7. My vet is confident that it was an embolism and that she did not suffer.
I actually make pet portraits out of digital collage but I can’t face that work anymore.
I keep up my drawing and painting skills with Taty and this community.
If I don’t keep my drawing practice up with some external encouragement I just can’t find the motivation or energy to do it. So being part of this community is invaluable to me.
This tutorial was beautiful and incredibly relaxing up until I had to draw the kitty face on the mug….then
I lost it. 😭😢😞
But I finished.
Oh yeah…I am allergic to coffee! So I changed it up a bit.
