Chapter 4 Reboot, Page 10 (Patreon)

This took a little while because I spent a lot of my time this week doing video editing for my review series. I'll try to work a little on pages this weekend to catch up a bit.

Process Images

The original black and white page.

The line art and spot blacking. This was interesting because I didn't want to just flip the page... I kept the top panel the same, since when I flipped the sword panel it no longer cut through anyone this way. I also thought it made sense because Arma was on the right on the previous page.

Patterns, textures, line effects, blush, etc.

Text! I took out a lot of sound effects that were in the original. I think I'm going to continue doing that. Black and white and sound effects go very well together, but I think in color it can look a little cluttered. I kind of see now why American comics don't pour sound effects into their pages as much as Japanese manga do.
