Chapter 4 Reboot, Page 20 (Patreon)

I had fun with this! Took like no time to do, probably because I only did one page this week. Migraines all day Tuesday made me lose a work day, so hopefully I can get more done next week. I want to try to get 3 pages done, haha. Might work nights this weekend, we'll see.

Process Images

The original page! I really enjoyed doing the original but I always hated the background on the large panel, I don't know how it got warped like that. Skill issue!

Lineart! I originally planned on flipping Lamia but I decided not to because I didn't want to redraw too much. She's not a very symmetrical character so it's more work to make adjustments like that.

Gradations and highlights! I realized on this step the leaves around her are from her transformation and had to make them the same color Arma's were.

Patterns and textures! Really enjoyed this stage. I do have fun finding backgrounds for the color version, and I liked mixing my lineart with different color effects (I drew the flash lines with a ruler and the squiggles behind Horse Arma look neat with an effect over them).

Not much dialogue, put in a few sound effects. Changed the dialogue on this page a bit from the original. Anyway, so happy to have a second Guardian now!
