2019! Updates (Patreon)

Just thought I would say hi, happy new year! So far my year has been crummy, haha, but I've got a lot of things happening next week. I will be going to Kansai Comitia on Sunday in Osaka, and finally Vol. 2 in Japanese will make its debut to Japanese readers. A few days later I will be celebrating my kid's first birthday! 

Cons 2019

This year I am slowly re-starting my con hopping lifestyle and in July I have at least one con where I am definitely a guest, one where I am a guest but they have not announced me yet so I can't announce myself yet, and two cons that are pending. I will also be going to more cons in the Osaka and Tokyo areas, and as usual I will have a few English copies available as well.

The con I am publicly announced to go to is Okashicon in Texas. If you are in the Austin area, please come by!

I am going to talk to the director of one of the other cons and see if they are announcing me soon, but a hint is it's in the midwest!

I will also do a con video for Comitia this weekend for people in those tiers. I need to find my selfie stick!

Comic Progress

I did quite a bit of inking in December on Ch. 14 but since the start of this year I have fallen behind. I have a cold right now that both my husband and kiddo caught... it's actually not a bad cold! But I have to take care of them, too. I have a day later this week that is going to be just me working on my comic so I will have some progress photos uploaded around then.

Interestingly, I have been using a G pen instead of a Maru pen for my character linework! I finally found a G pen that fits my nib holder of choice and is comfortable for me, so I might make the switch a permanent one. Will post some videos later this week before I go to Osaka.

I kind of think the new chapter will be finished by mid February since inking has actually been pretty smooth, but I haven't tried toning yet, and that I cannot do with my baby in the room (the tone can be dangerous to breathe in when shaved off for effects). So we shall see, I suppose.

New Year's Card

Last year it was March before I got my New Year's cards out, but I think this year it will get finished before the end of this month. I decided to feature the new villain, so when I post it online I will probably post it as an attachment so it won't be a spoiler for people who do not want to see it.

Once I finish the card I will be focusing my digital art time on commissions from Kickstarter that never got worked on due to time restraints. I wanted to use the card as a warm-up though since I am still pretty new to Photoshop CC, which I just got in December.

That's about all I have to say for now! I just wanted to touch base with you guys. Thank you for continuing to support me even though it has been a slow couple of years with the pregnancy/baby. I hope to have so much content up in the next few months that you won't know what to do with it XD
