Aiko - Foxgirl Commission (Patreon)

I finally finished! I did the character art a few months ago but put the background on hold because of moving and divorcing and blah blah. I enjoyed working on her but I am still not where I want to be with backgrounds so I ended up cropping a lot of that part out despite drawing more of it.

Now that I have completed this I'll be opening up commissions again, at least until my stuff arrives from Japan. Fortunately I found out today it is due to make landfall this week, so hopefully customs won't take forever.

Process Stuff

Here are some images that show the process from start to finish.

The rough sketch, haha. So rough...

Penciled...

Inked...

Started some flat colors...

More colors, added a pattern, worked on a background...

Mostly finished the character's colors...

Losing confidence in this background...

This was the larger version, but as you can see in the finished version posted at the top I did some cropping and added some blues. All that hard work and I nixed it, haha. It happens.

I was asked to do an Avatar related commission by a high school classmate so I guess that will be what I do next, but I'll have a few other slots open.
