Chapter 1 Reboot, Page 19 (Patreon)

Hoo-boy, life gets in the way sometimes...

My kid had her birthday party, we were snowed in and had FOUR SNOW DAYS and two of those days I had a killer migraine. It was a frustratingly unproductive week. But those days happen, I guess.

I don't get migraines often, but this new medication I am on has had some annoying side effects.

Anyway, the page that took a week to finish...

Behind The Scenes

I censored this because I posted to social media, but this was the rough page that spliced together old and new material.

I inked about half of the page, sketched out what I wanted for the bottom three panels underneath. I love that middle Lamia sketch ;D

Got everything inked with some balloons and quick sound effects thrown in for placement.

Silhouettes.

Started flatting...

Flats complete!

Shadows!

Some textures and gradations...

Highlights and some background stuffs.

Added sound effects, finished balloons, readjusted some background stuff and added blush to the characters.

So sorry this took so long! I did learn from this page that shadows are the most time-consuming part of the process when I have multiple characters and many panels.

Hopefully the next page won't take as long... (no more snow days, please)
