Chapter 2 Reboot, Page 20 (Patreon)

First of all, happy new year!! 2024 has started a little awkwardly (Japan has been hit rougher, of course... fortunately nobody in my child's family has been hurt from the recent incidents) and while I had intended for this to go up earlier on Monday, my kid came down with a bad case of COVID-19 and most of my attention has been on her, obviously. I worked when she was napping but she had a few days of 104 and 105 temps and it was no fun for her :(

I don't know why I changed so many of the sound effects! Honestly, I was just in a hurry because of the time crunch with my kid and forgot to check the thumbnail, haha. Shukk shukk is better, I should have left that in...

Line art! I made the snake's nose a little too big but I'll shave it down a bit in a later step,

Silhouettes! I'd like to add, this is the last page with all new art. The other pages are mostly "recycled" line work from the original black and white version.

Highlights and gradations!

Textures, patterns... I shaved off the snake's nose here. Hilariously, I spent a lot of time looking for a dark, fleshy texture for the snake's flesh but forgot to add it in the rest of the pages. These pages were getting pretty heavy and my computer was slowing a bit at this stage, though. 

Text, including dialogue and sound effects. Finished! I bet I'll tweak it later on sometime...
