The start of a new series!

I love all my characters and comics, but sometimes I have stories I want to tell that require more than a caption, but less than a whole epic comic series. This is an attempt to tell one such story. Dylan's take will be self-contained and finished in about 4 or 5 parts.

If you like this format, I'll do more in the future - so please let me know what you think! 💖

Start to read just now... but I sense already that I'll hope for more... ❣️

Maggie Heels

Oh yeah... Lily... you're fucked... LOL I hope you'll adapt asap ❣️❣️❣️

Ella Cherry

I enjoyed the format, and the story hooked me!

Tim

Literally, Maggie?... one can only hope!

Tim

I like the format, Emory, but I'm curious on your planned frequency. Are you looking at publishing episodes back-to-back-to-back (similar to what you did with The Manchurian Bride), or once per month (like you did with Pleasure Dome), or maybe somewhere in between? Personally, I would prefer a more compressed schedule, but that could be taxing on your already busy schedule. Really looking forward to what you have in store for Dylan.

Sydney Bauer

On dylan you magnificent dumb dumb I love you

Omagathief

Oh Dylan, you have no idea what you’ve signed yourself up for but you will and fast

Gemma

Well Emory I’m hooked! How far will he (they) go? To the point of no return??

Jade Diaz

Those audition lines sound like someone who is already familiar with _The Literature_ 🤔

Stormfries

ohh good but many many text ouuh

Emory Ahlberg

What do you mean we're renewed for three seasons already!? 😉

Emory Ahlberg

Considering this is "Guy Dylan's" last hurrah... maybe so! 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Tim! Yes, I plan on working on this instead of captions so I can publish Dylan's story faster. Hopefully readers will appreciate the change of pace!

Emory Ahlberg

Especially as 'she' gets more popular outside of the show!

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Gemma! That certainly seems possible since in the memoir Dylan says this is "Guy Dylan's" last hurrah!

Emory Ahlberg

I included the text file for easy translation. 😊

Emory Ahlberg

We'll have to see how long it'll take Dylan to wise up, Syd. 😉

Emily

I believe a little method acting will be highly suggested. “We need you to dig deep into your personal life and draw from your experiences outside acting.”

Robertlouis

Oh Emory, this is good. This is REALLY good! Great start, looks like it’s going to be a fun story and the art is superb. Love everything about it.

Samanda

Love it! Really looking forward to Part II!

stacy C

Liking it :-) x

Emory Ahlberg

That's certainly where we're headed, Thomas. 😊

Emory Ahlberg

And since they think he's trans, no doubt some medications will be provided to help!

Emory Ahlberg

Yay! Thank you so much, Samanda. You'll actually have Part II and Part III in July. 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Robert! 💖 Yeah, what I have planned for Dylan has me smiling just thinking about it!

Emily

I get the impression that when the casting directors glanced at each other that they (especially the woman) didn’t 100 percent believe that he was trans. And that she was giving him the chance to step out of the role. Because they expect full commitment. And that she somehow knows he is just lying to get the part. But also, she can see he has the acting talent and therefore feels obligated to give him the opportunity if he can find that connection.

Emory Ahlberg

That's a really insightful take, Emily, and I think you're onto something. The casting directors, especially the woman with the serious expression, were definitely perceptive. They could sense that something wasn't quite adding up with the story. But in Hollywood, talent (and looks) often speaks louder than words! The woman was giving Dylan an out, a chance to step back and admit the truth. But when he doubled down on the lie, she decided to give him the opportunity anyway...
