As Sandy makes a life-changing decision about her identity at university, Nikki's night out with Zach takes an unexpected turn...

The season finale clocks in at a massive 44 pages! Really can't wait to read your thoughts. 😊

Nicki’s face on the last page when she realised she actually liked the kiss, it was simply priceless 🥰🥰

Thomas Tolliver

I think that's supposed to be "Yes, yes, yes!"

Ella Cherry

Loved it! Nice season finale! ❤️

Jade Diaz

Wow. Wow. Woooow. Way to stick the landing!!!! Just some lovely composition, great emotional beats, and the expressions? Omfg they are so wonderful. Enjoy your break Nikki and Sandy!

TheVampire

Nikkis first kiss! So sweet. She has such great chemistry with zach

Lesquei

It seems like a "different" feeling is growing between Nick and Zach. So exciting, so beautiful. I can't wait for season 3, please don't delay, lol.

Bartoon

Finally!! Love how deep she blushes at the end. Can we get a dream sequence of them finally having sex and Nikki loving it???

Tim

After having one or two episodes to enjoy every month for the past 28 months, it's going to be tough to go without for these next few/several months (although on the plus side, Homecoming will be returning—yay! 😊). Thank you for a wonderful Season 2. You've left us with a lot to look forward to in Season 3.

Gemma

What a brilliant finale. You did give us the ‘kiss’ we all have been waiting for so long, but you still left us with a cliffhanger. We will all now have to speculate about the aftermath and fall out of the kiss! What confusing thoughts and feelings are arising in Nikki? Before I further get back to, and give my thoughts on the last few in this episode I would like to comment on Sandy. I love her bravery. Her decision to not hide her ‘trans status,’ wow! I wonder if in part, this strong stand by Sandy was inspired by a position of solidarity and support around the many challenges around the world that trans men and women are currently encountering. I maybe reading too much into it, but, by God it was great to see this stand being made in this episode. I also was intrigued by the shadowy image of David lurking in the background, ‘less we forget and get too comfortable’ with the dynamics taking place between Nikki and Zach. Now, getting back to Nikki and Zach, I found myself questioning Nikki’s rational for following through with the kiss. Certainly Zach was placing no pressure on her. Her argument, suggestion that someone with a long range camera is ‘lurking in the bushes’ seems like a long stretch. I enjoyed witnessing the way Nikki continues to play and have this false bravado that is conveyed through her teasing put downs, exaggerated prowess about her past conquests. A great facade she seems to have adopted to cover in part to hide her nervousness. I also wonder if is a way of minimising her underlying feeling of attraction to Zach. This being later followed by her trying to convince herself (and Zach) that this need to kiss was just following through and fulfilling her verbal contract with Hutchinson. It was also nice to see that brief moment in which Nikki is not teasing and is genuine and openly honest with Zach. Her acknowledgment of her respect and high regard for him and who he is as a person. Finally, whilst I did so love the kissing scene, I loved even more the telltale last few images (post the kiss) that capture so well a myriad of thoughts feelings that Nikki experienced. Her facial expression, body language as Nikki places her finger on her on her lips pose, reliving, prolonging what she just experienced. All of this suggesting the underlying titillation that arose within her. It was magnificent how you followed this image with the reflex reaction arising within Nikki of shame, embarrassment and confusion around what she had done, and moreover had enjoyed. These feelings beautifully illustrated by the image of Nikki’s flushed cheeks says so much and is so clever and priceless in what it conveyed. Brilliant art work Emory. Again we have to wait for all what will arise in Nikki’s processing of this date and reflecting on what this means and its impact on her psyche.

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!!! EMORY YOU CAN'T BE DOING THIS TO US!!!!! You can't be ending the season on such a cliff hanger! It isn't fair! I don't think the "no, no, no" is about the kiss. I think there is something else much bigger at home. Maybe her Dad's car in front? Did Mary call Howard now that she has all the 411 from Sandy? He would be one of the last people Nikki would want to see while all dolled up coming back from a date where she kissed a boy. Or maybe it is the realization the ghost she saw in the theater is Davis? Maybe Davis is at the house? Long shot I know, but something has Nikki worked up pretty good pretty fast. And now we have to wait until when for Season 3? End of summer or fall? Please, please, please, don't be any longer than that. And shorter, if possible. I do though have to offer you a big THANK YOU!!!!!!!! 45 PAGES!!!!!!!! ALL WITH AMAZING ARTWORK AND DIALOG!!!! You were so generous with almost double the pages. But damn it, we only got to the end of the date and you still left us on a cliff hanger! And with months before the next story. Keep this up and you are going to give me a stroke from stress and anxiety. But how could I ever be angry at such a talented artist, even if you may very well be the death of me.

animalmusic

She just realized she’s a girl, just wait till she looks down and sees her hard nippy’s Her dreams are going to get naughtier 🤞 Wow what an ending lots for her to process and come to terms with going forward. And College added to keep her move forward with her continuing feminization and new feelings and sites to see…… Please don’t wait too long to continue their next Chapter.

While there's a lot to ponder about Nikki's rxn, there is also a lot to ponder with Zach's. He did not look thrilled, to put it lightly. My guess is that it's not that he didn't enjoy it, but rather that he wasn't expecting this and that this his live life may be getting complicated.

Crewchick

Thank you for making the kiss more performative and less romantic. I know a lot of fans just want to jump to the romance and graphic "knocking boots". But I really do read this for the story and character development. I just don't think Nikki is ready to just flip a switch and go all girly or gay. I also feel like you are rushing Sandy a little bit. I think the "I was never trans but hey now I am trans and cool with being forced to change genders against my will" is a bit too much too fast. It seems to me less self confidence and authentic and more desperate and struggling to create an identity to fit her new physical packaging and old id and ego still inside her. I also don't think coming out trans is going to be safe for her in Texas or at a Christian school like St. Christopher's. The school could force her to live in a male dorm and have a male roommate. That could scuttle the plan to be Nikki's roommate. Also if the plan is to help Nikki blend in and appear to be complying with Hutchinson's demands at least for the present, Nikki as an unknown freshman is going to get labeled by association if she is living with an openly trans woman. At the very least it will make her the subject of gossip, "there goes the new girl, you know, the one with the tranny roommate". That is not the type of attention Hutchinson is going to want for Nikki if she is supposed to be both Zach's beard and lover. Zach dating the new girl with the trans roommate is going to raise eyebrows, especially if he was on the team's "gaydar" while Nick was QB1. I can see Sandy coming out to everyone in their growing little circle. I just don't see it working with the plan and being highly risky for Sandy to enroll openly at St. Christopher's as a trans woman at this point. Maybe once the Hutchinson threat has been resolved and she has some identity on campus. "Hey its still me, the "girl" you know and love peeps, its just my gender identity is a little more complicated". People would be forced to accept or reject her after getting to know her, which for some may make it harder to just drop her and turn their backs. Other will do so in a heart beat. But that in itself would be a lesson and discovery in seeing who and how many can just drop someone they know so quickly. It also put's Nikki and Zach in an awkward situation unnecessarily. A christian school in Texas is not going to be a welcoming place place for anyone different and transphobia and openly hostile social interaction will be tolerated and possibly even condoned. If Zach and Nikki are to be Hutchinson's perfect little prom king and queen, they may be expected to conform and reject Sandy in public too in order to stay under the radar themselves. That would not be the right thing, but nothing Hutchinson wants is ever achieved by doing the right thing. The issue is how much are Nikki and Zach willing to put up with and endure to openly defy Hutchinson and do the right thing. I mean if Zach were really committed to doing the right thing he would be out and open about himself and Armando already. And Nikki is in denial still about what all happen to her and the impossibility of her ever going back to who Nick was. We are only just before the date getting glimpses of Nikki starting to even consider the possibility of making a life as she currently presents. But the fact Sandy was able to talk her into play acting for Hutchinson's sake, including insisting on the kiss when Zach was ready to let her and him off the hook, suggests she might be willing still to do a lot of things against character if she though it might help her get at least part of her old life back or protect her family and friends from harm from Hutchinson. Would she sell out Sandy to protect her Mom and Dad? I don't think it could be ruled out. You know you are really "killing me smalls" with this whole end of season hiatus thing! 😉 But again thank you for writing such a great story that draws me in so much.

AB

She's just remembering an earlier kiss in the closing panels, same technique, same feel as the man who forcibly kissed her repeatedly when she was tied up and blindfolded in second dawn. Zach is the true mastermind, his dad is just playing bad cop. Revenge is sweet, as sweet as Nikki's lips. Or at least that's what I think.

Maggie Heels

This part is insanely good... knowing that I will need a lot of patience to wait for next update makes me a bit sad but OMG... that was sooo goood. Sandy ohhh... somebody could say that this is nothing more than bunch of pixels right? WRONG at least for me... I am very invested into these characters... (maybe even bit too much... idk maybe I am too lonely for not to be idk} NIKKI is in ❣️ Nikki is in ❣️ LOL ohhh Nikki I feel so sorry for you... Because Zach does not feel the same for you...

Crewchick

As for "the kiss", I don't think it was Nikki wanting to be romantic for feeling all oozie inside for Zach all of a sudden. I think it is a sign of Nikki's naiveté and desperation to get out from under Hutchinson. Like she said, she does not do things half ass. She does not want to be forced into the life Hutchinson has in mind for her and in having to be this girly girl in public. I think she believed the story Sandy told her that if she threw herself into the date and amped the femininity up 110% to prove Zach is 100% gay, she would finally be off the hook and able to reclaim her life going forward and maybe even some part of her old self. The reality is that it is likely impossible to reverse what been done to her. She might be able to go off the hormones and see a little reversion, but with the surgeries she has had, that likely just mean her looking like a tall ugly girl with five o-clock shadow, at best, or a very scrawny and frail effeminate man with a scraggly, if at all, beard. Neither any part of her old identity or self perception. But I think Nikki is still that desperate to go back or at least claim control going forward that she is willing to believe anything and do anything she thinks might make that possible. Even kissing another guy. And while I think it is possible for the hormones she is on to cause her to have some kind of emotional and physical response to a kiss, I don't think it was the big romantic thing other fans think and are rooting for. I think that is the kind of thing that will require a lot of time and other experiences for her process in context. I think Nikki is going to need a whole hell of a lot of "wow, that was not so bad" experiences while presenting as a girl in public before she can process the kiss and actualize any switch/flipping in the sexual orientation department. I think she needs to become a whole lot more comfortable with who she is before she can get romantic with anyone male or female as a romantic or sexual partner. As for Zach, I think he got on his bike and said to himself, "yeah, still gay"! I can't say there might not have been the slightest tinge of confused feeling going on, but I think the text from Armando has him feeling a lot of guilt. I also think in general his father has him under a lot of pressure and the kiss would just feel like playing into and giving into his dad's dreams instead of his own. I think there is a lot of built up resentment in Zach toward his father that does not want to give in to him one inch more than he already has. Nor do I think Nikki's pressure and insistence in the kiss helped the situation and likely killed any romantic sparks he may have been slightly feeling. His dad is the pressure king. With Nikki desperately pressuring Zach to try and give Hutchinson no loopholes for demanding a second date, I think Zach might have felt like he was kissing his dad. Hardly the romantic image so many other are envisioning for Nikki and Zach. But I guess we will have to wait until the end of summer to find out?

Maggie Heels

P.S. "SWANS CAN'T DANCE, DUDE." killed me 🤣🤣🤣

Sam May

Phenomenal. And the art keeps getting better and better.

Crewchick

Maggie, I always love your comments. I agree I think Zach got on his bike and said to himself, "nope, still gay"! But I don't think Nikki is in love with Zach. I think there are a lot of neurons firing at the moment from the pressure of the situation, from the past friendship creating a familiar and a slight openness or vulnerability, and from the massive amount of hormones she received and is still receiving. Plus she was in Clinic 12 all alone for two years and now home her only social contact has been her parents. The only exception the impromptu shopping date with Mary Palmer, Lauren and Evie. Which I think will lead to real female friendships, but for no is in a very early stage of just forming. Sandy has been her only consistent friend since returning, and even she was gone for several months with Mrs. Ferris back in Boston with their only contact e-mails. So you also have to consider that Nikki is desperate and craving human social contact even as she is dreading it given her appearance. So the date with Zach with the banter and laughter and the physical contact with the dancing and the kiss are bound to fire off a ton of neurons that are not necessarily romantic but just over stimulation from human contact after such a long period of deprivation. Again confusing for sure given the past friendship with Zach and the massive hormones she is on. I am not denying there was not some kind of reaction going on with Nikki during the dance or after the kiss, but I think it is a whole lot more complicated than she suddenly flipped a switch and fell in love. I think inside Nikki is a very scared and desperate person starving for human contact and acceptance while she is still struggling to figure out just who and what she is. I think this may make her very vulnerable to confused and mixed signals and emotions from others and how she interprets them. Remember, just earlier that same days when Sandy came to pick her up and take her to the salon, that she did not recognize Sandy from behind and mentally put on her best "Rico Suave" attitude before she realized it was Sandy. Now she is mooning over Zach after one kiss like a school girl? I just don't buy it. I think she is just 100% an emotional mess right now.

2026-09-14 23:00 I'm completly agree with Diana O'Neil post and have the same felt with the fact that sandy is rushing a little too fast and nicky could be associate to her as a trans too. It could be really fun than while Nicky felt she appreciate the kiss. Her father ( and maybe her mother) was the only witness(es) of the kiss. The kiss was cool. Nicky saying out she already kiss a 100 people before sound like a child who boasts about his exploits to give herself courage (or a good conscience). I don't know how to read zach reaction. I think his father, the message of his boyfriend just before give him a lot of pression. But his silence and the way he rush to live nicky alone. Show that he 's not completly insenble too of the kiss. But guy, it's hard to be him😁 Damn that cliffhanger. That will be very long to wait for more.

Oh God, YES Nicki. You my friend are a boy kisser. You like like boys. There is nothing wrong with that. You can still be a girl kisser too. I personally like kissing people of any, all, both, or neither gender as long as I like them first.

Bartoon

Wow great theory

Bartoon

I think it's clear this series is a fan favorite!!

Kris Greg

A cliffhanger! I'm always excited when the next episode of this series comes out.

Crewchick

Emory, now that Half Sisters Season 2 is done, will you be issuing it as a single season PDF some time over the summer? Maybe with a few extra pin-ups or such?

Gemma

Further thought: I wonder if Nikki’s emotional dilemma, and the confused feelings, thoughts that may be arising in her could be summed up by her alternative version of the Katy Perry song-‘I just kissed a boy and I liked it!’

Erica Rost

Nikky took the plunge with the boy... and even kissed him... So Nikky found happiness?

Elrod W

With regards to the dancing, the only thing I will note is that it's a puzzle as to whether Nikki 'saw' the spy, or if he was just a figment of Nikki's fears. It's not clear from the one fleeting glimpse. If it were him, it'd be ONE explanation for Nikki's reaction at the end - the NO NO NO.... If it was her imagination in the stage scene, then it'd seem logical that Nikki's "cliff-hanger" reaction was realizing, to her horror, that she enjoyed a date with Zack, and that kissing him was enjoyable - which is another step from Nick and toward Nikki - that which she dreads the most. If the 'vision' in the theater WAS the spy, then another explanation for Nikki's dramatic ending would be that she spotted said spy coming down the road, despite their best efforts to shake him. Even if it was the spy, however, it wouldn't rule out Nikki's reaction to her OWN feelings - fun with Zack, deepening friendship, and enjoying kissing him.

Alexxx's RC F2F stories

Yeah, Nikki, you kissed a boy and actually liked it! Shocking, right? But let’s be real, you made the first move. Great chapter!

Crystal Peaches

This was so good. What a heartbreaker if Nikki's gradual acceptance of herself is met with a rebuff from Zac. I got the feeling that she was into it way more than he was. Don't break her heart!!

Sara Dune Tone

Yayyyy omg omg sooo cute! I can’t wait to find out what happened to nick there at the end… maybe his downstairs is telling something inexorable to his upstairs? And Scott wanting to go to school as trans yay! The setup to the ultimate fantasy! The trans/feminised gay coeds. I’m literally shaking in my stilettos with anticipation. A m a z i n g work Em!! You’re the GOAT of the genre.

Gunnar

Despite it all, I wonder how Mr Hutchinson will take the fact that Nikki didn't wear a dress like he instructed. With it being mentioned multiple times, before, Nikki saying "fuck it", and Mr Hutchinson specifically asking about it during the date, I wonder if there might be some punishment coming anyways - wouldn't surprise me if this was the last time she got to wear pants for a while.

Sara Dune Tone

I’ve always felt like Nicky was boy mad deep down, I think this one is going to give us some hot scenes in the future 🤭❤️‍🔥 I personally would find it super hot if Nicky found out that boys arouse her/him wayyyy more than girls but that’s just me

Robertlouis

I love the way that Elaine and Sandy’s relationship has developed into something that both of them needed. It’s given both of them strength and confidence, and, dare I say it, the love that only a parent and child can share. As an example, Sandy couldn’t have shared her decision with anyone else. And the date? It started as a duty, moved on to two kids innocently having fun, stayed at that level for Zach (I think), but shifted to playful flirting for Nikki, and finally something more physical without her necessarily noticing. All nicely set up for next season, with the last few frames suitably ambiguous and enigmatic. And the art is simply stunning.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Robert! I agree about Sandy and Elaine. I see their journey as one of mutual healing, especially now that Elaine isn't just trying to fill a Sofia-shaped hole. Sandy's presence, her unique way of navigating this impossible situation, actually forces Elaine to confront her own past and what motherhood truly means to her. And for Sandy, I think it's about finding a sense of belonging she hasn't felt for a long time. With Nikki and Zach's date, I was really trying to explore that confusing space Nikki's in. She's rediscovering parts of herself, and also discovering new ones. I think Zach is still very much in that "old friends having fun" mode, maybe a bit oblivious to the undercurrents Nikki's starting to feel - or maybe is sensing them and is feeling nervous. Because even if he DID like girls too, he still has a boyfriend!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Crystal! I'm so glad you connected with that! I've been thinking a lot about Nikki's internal world. For me, her "acceptance" isn't just about the physical changes (she has a lot of trauma associated with that obviously) but also about a deeply buried part of her original self resurfacing. That's the sensitive kid who got lost under layers of performative masculinity. So, when she's "into it" with Zach, I feel it's a potent mix of that vulnerable, emerging authenticity and maybe even a dash of the old Nick's competitive spirit wanting to succeed, even at being Nikki. Zach, bless his heart, is navigating his own minefield of past trauma, his feelings for Armando, and sheer terror of his father. It’s a lot!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you so much, Sara! With Nikki, I'm definitely exploring that internal tug-of-war, that unexpected moment where the body's new reality might be whispering something to a deeply ingrained self-perception. 😉 Sandy's journey to embrace a trans identity at St. Christopher's felt like a crucial step for her own self-acceptance. I'm excited (and nervous) to see her navigate that!

Emory Ahlberg

Good point, Gunnar! Nikki opting for something other than a dress, even if it was still feminine (and revealing) and ultimately helped her feel more confident for the "performance," will register as an act of defiance in his eyes. He's so fixated on molding her into his ideal that any independent choice might be seen as a challenge...

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you! At the end of the episode, Nikki reeling from that moment. She's spent so long building this fortress of "Nick Palmer, QB1" that any crack in the wall is terrifying. For her to initiate a kiss with a boy (even a "tactical" one)... well, it's kind of a weird echo of her old assertiveness, but the enjoyment is completely uncharted territory. I mean... it's one thing to be forced into a role; it's another to find unexpected parts of yourself responding positively!

Emory Ahlberg

I love how you're digging into Nikki's headspace, Elrod! That moment in the theater with the "audience member" is definitely meant to be a bit murky. But if it was another Hutchinson spy, Nikki probably would have said so to Zach. She reacted with fear; Nikki isn't afraid of spies. Whatever she saw scared her and seemed to trigger some mantra - "I'm okay, I'm okay, I'm okay..." 🤔 That final "Oh, God, no!" is absolutely a tangle of emotions. It's not just one thing. There's the shock of enjoying the kiss, of enjoying her time with Zach, which is a huge threat to the "Nick" she's desperately clinging to. If she's Nikki and she likes it, what does that mean for the boy she was? It's an existential crisis in micro! I'd say the lines between coercion, genuine feeling, and performance are so incredibly blurred for her now that she has a truly deep fear of losing herself entirely.

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Erica! That kiss right now represents a moment of profound confusion and perhaps a surprising, fleeting connection.... Her journey to feeling genuinely happy and at peace with herself is still a very long one!

Emory Ahlberg

We will have a complete PDF this month, Diana! 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Kris! Unfortunately, you will have to wait until the start of Season 3... but the OTHER Kris from Homecoming will keep you company. 😉

Emory Ahlberg

And that is very gratifying to me, DJ! Yay! 💕

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Singular! Personally (I know I have a bias lol) I find Nikki's reaction to that kiss really telling. She's spent so long building this very rigid "Nick Palmer" persona that any feeling outside of that script throws her for a massive loop. That hyper-masculinity was always a shield. Now that "Nikki" is here, cracks are appearing, and all sorts of confusing emotions she's suppressed for years are starting to seep through. I agree that especially right now it's about the sheer shock of experiencing attraction in a way that completely upends her self-perception. It's probably the very beginning of a messy, but hopefully authentic, unraveling!

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Nolwenn. I do think Sandy, in her eagerness to help, sometimes mirrors her own experiences onto Nikki, maybe forgetting how different their initial circumstances were. Sandy genuinely wants Nikki to find a way to survive, drawing from what worked for her. And yeah, that boast about kissing hundreds of people is classic Nick Palmer overcompensation lol. Whenever Nikki feels vulnerable, the old bluster comes out. Zach is absolutely caught in an emotional vise. His father, Armando, and now this unexpected kiss from Nikki... it's just a maelstrom. Poor guy!

Emory Ahlberg

Aw, thank you so much, Sam! 💕 I'm really trying to make both the story and the art more compelling with each season.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Maggie! I love that Sandy resonates so deeply. I've tried to portray her story as one of reclaiming agency after having everything taken away, and it's a messy, imperfect process... especially when now she's actually beginning to trust the one who did this to her in the first place. That vulnerability mixed with her new, growing strength is pretty central to who she's becoming. With Nikki, I see her feelings for Zach as just incredibly complex right now... and even MORE complex after the kiss. It's not a simple "in love" situation, unfortunately. It's this crazy turbulent mix of reactivated childhood friendship, genuine remorse for past actions, a confusing new layer of physical attraction, and a deep-seated need for understanding. Zach's feelings are a bit hard to read at the moment... all I will say is that no matter what, he probably feels a little like he cheated on his boyfriend.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, stevedore! Yeah, I think with Zach, there's definitely a storm brewing inside. He's been conditioned by his father for so long to suppress his own desires and navigate these really toxic situations. He's got Armando, who represents a genuine connection he's chosen, and then Nikki, who is tangled up in his father's machinations and his own complicated past. I imagine his mind is racing, trying to process the implications of that moment... He genuinely loves Armando, so no matter how he feels about Nikki, that makes a mess of things.

Emory Ahlberg

Nikki definitely experienced a crack in the wall of her resistance. College will be a crucible, a chance for her to define herself, but it's also going to present a whole new set of challenges, especially as those new feelings and attractions might surface more strongly!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you so much for sticking with me and the girls (and Nikki!) through Season 2, Tim! I really appreciate you understanding that these stories take time to craft. I'm so excited about where things are headed in Season 3. There are so many threads to explore (Nikki’s journey, Sandy's new path, and the ever-looming threat of Second Dawn). I’m pouring a lot of thought into how these characters continue to grow and confront the really messed-up world they’re in (i.e. Texas 😉).

Emory Ahlberg

Oh my goodness, thank you so much for such an incredibly thoughtful and detailed comment, Diana! It makes my day (and sometimes my whole week!) to hear from people who are so invested in the story and these characters. And yes, I know, I’m a bit of a monster for ending on a cliffhanger like that, especially after such a long episode! Your speculations about what Nikki’s “no, no, no” could mean are fascinating to me... I love seeing where everyone's minds go with these things. I promise the wait for Season 3 will be worth it to find out why. I really appreciate you noticing the intention behind the kiss between Nikki and Zach. It was important to me that it felt performative at first. Nikki, at this stage, is driven by a desperate, almost frantic need to regain some semblance of control and to protect Zach (and himself, by extension) from Hutchinson. She's so far from understanding her own feelings right now. Now, about Sandy. I think we have to remember that Sandy (as Scott) was already in a very different place than Nick pre-transition. Scott was lost, an orphan, already engaging in risky behavior, and didn't have a strong sense of future or even a particularly stable identity. While the transition was a violation, it was also slower and less 'forced.' She was never trapped in the mansion with Mortimer and when she wanted to leave, she just walked right out the front door. And now, the outcome of her transition has inadvertently offered her a structure and a potential for connection (with Josh, with Mrs. Ferris) that Scott was sorely lacking. Her "acceptance" isn't so much an immediate embrace of being trans in the way one might choose transition, but more of a pragmatic (and perhaps, as you say, somewhat desperate) adaptation to an irreversible new reality. She's thinking, "Scott is gone, this body is Sandy's, so what can Sandy do? Who can Sandy be?" It's less "I am trans and cool with this" and more "This is what I am now, so how do I build a life from these pieces?" The "rocky road" ice cream analogy was my attempt to show that, for her, the result of being Sandy, despite the horrific way it came about, offers her something she finds more fulfilling than the "vanilla" existence of Scott. She didn't mind being Scott, she just likes being Sandy better! You're right that her decision to come out at St. Christopher's is definitely a risky one, and I deliberately wrote it that way. I think for Sandy, having had so much control stripped from her, the act of publicly claiming her identity is her reclaiming agency. It's a defiant "this is me" in a world that tried to define her. You're absolutely right, it will create immense complications, especially for Nikki and Zach, and it puts Sandy herself in a precarious position in Texas. That’s precisely the kind of conflict I want to explore. How will these characters navigate the social fallout? What happens when loyalties are tested? Will Mrs. Ferris's wealth and influence be enough of a shield, or will Hutchinson use Sandy’s openness against all of them? Personally, I don’t see Sandy as naive but driven by a profound need for authenticity after being a pawn for so long. She's found something in "Sandy" that feels real to her, and she's not willing to hide it anymore, consequences be damned. This will undoubtedly force Nikki and Zach into very difficult positions, testing their own courage and their commitment to their friends. But isn't that who Nikki wants to try to be again? The friend who will stand up for you? 😉 Thank you again for such an amazing and insighful comment! It gives me so much to think about as I plot out the next season. And don't worry, I'll try not to give you a stroke! 😉

Crewchick

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! ❤ ♥ ♥ Can't wait!

Emory Ahlberg

I didn't mean Season 3 will take longer than normal to start, just that we'll have to wait until Season 3 for more Nikki and Sandy! hehe

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Gemma! This us such thoughtful feedback! 💕 Regarding the kiss and its aftermath for Nikki, I was trying to capture the whirlwind of her internal state. You're right, it's more than just a simple kiss. This is a culmination of so many conflicting pressures and emerging feelings. On one level, Nikki is absolutely still in "mission mode." She's convinced herself that fulfilling Hutchinson's demands to the letter is the only way to protect Zach and, by extension, herself and her family. That "what if someone is watching" line is partly a genuine (if exaggerated) fear, given Hutchinson's paranoia, but it’s also a convenient shield. It allows her to proceed with something that part of her, a very deeply buried and confused part, might actually be curious about, or even wanting, without having to admit it to herself. The bravado, the teasing put-downs, those are all Nikki's armor. She's terrified of vulnerability, and the "old Nick" swagger is a familiar defense mechanism. So This performance aspect is crucial because she's not just performing for a potential spy, she's performing for herself! But underneath that, there's also the genuine connection she's started to feel with Zach. Her acknowledgment of his good qualities, that moment of honesty was Nikki letting the mask slip. The enjoyment she experiences are shocking to her precisely because they feel authentic in a situation born of coercion. If this felt good, what else about this new life might? And what does that say about the "Nick" she thought she was? And then there's Sandy! Her decision to be openly trans at St. Christopher's is a massive step, and I'm so glad it resonated with you. For me, Sandy's story is about finding authenticity in the most unexpected and sometimes unwelcome of ways. Her initial transition was forced, a violation. But through that, and through her experiences and relationships (particularly with Josh and her evolving understanding with Mrs. Ferris) she's really started to discover and embrace a truth about herself that might have otherwise remained buried. Regarding the real-world context of trans solidarity, as a trans woman myself, I really can't help but imbue my characters' stories with some of that lived experience and the current realities we face. While Sandy's story isn't a direct allegory for any specific real-world event, the courage it takes to stand up and declare who you are, especially in an environment that might not be welcoming (like Texas in the story), is a theme that's deeply important to me. 💕 Thank you again for such an insightful comment!!!

Damn those cliffhangers hehe......I think our sweet Nikki just had a revelation that everyone else realised chapters a go :-) x

Emory Ahlberg

Hehe - you may be quite possibly correct, Stacy!

Nikki really enjoys hanging out with him. This is the most fun she has had since she was returned to Texas for sure. For a moment, she even felt a little "normal."

I love Nikki's cute red cheeks at the end. 😊 A dream sequence would be interest... What do you think her reaction would be upon waking up??

Emory Ahlberg

I'm so happy you're enjoying the story so far, Lesquei! 💕 I'm really looking forward to Season 3, too. There's lots more of Sandy and Nikki's story to show (and tell). 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Jade! 💕 Honestly figuring out where everyone would be left with emotionally as we wrapped up the season was difficult. But I'm satisfied. And - thank you! I worked really hard on the expressions - especially a few of them toward the end, hehe.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you so much, Ella! I'm happy to give Sandy and Nikki a bit of a well-deserved vacation 😉. But I will miss them!

Emory Ahlberg

🤣 Maybe, Thomas - but at that moment poor Nikki's brain has short-circuited.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you so much, Omaga! 😊 As you might imagine, I wanted that expression at the end to be PERFECT. I'm glad you think I got it right!

It’s all extremely tantalising and yummy Em. I can’t wait to see where this goes! Personally I’ve been truly enjoying the inclusion of homosexuality into this story: as a lifelong fan of the genre, I find it very interesting that feminisation stories are a meeting ground for both heterosexual and homosexual fantasies, and personally I have found some fatigue in that the majority of the more (relatively) wholesome stories skew towards “regained heterosexuality” in arcs/payoffs (eg the feminised man identifies as a straight woman in the end) while the ones with a more gay identity tend to be grounded in sissy/BDSM worlds that too often (for me) end up including torture and humiliation. Not that there’s anything wrong with either, but it’s really quite enjoyable to see you explore this space so adeptly as to provide a fresh angle on the whole genre.

Lesquei

I really miss Nikki and Sandy, when do you plan to come back with their stories?

Firewalker

Nikki is so obvious about her crush to everybody but herself, somehow. I can't wait for more, this has been an amazing story so far!!

Emory Ahlberg

💕💕💕 Thank you so much, Firewalker! You came in at the best time because you're about to get the start of the next season THIS MONTH! 😊
