Hey everyone! I'm still working on Chapter 7 of Taylor Made. It's the longest chapter so far at 7k words (Chapter 6 was 5.5k). 😬 These characters are really special to me, and I want to make sure the story is told to the best of my ability.

It should definitely be out tomorrow (Saturday). Sorry for the delay!

As a consolation, here's a "real life" version of Taylor in Boston. 😊

No worries Emory. Looking forward to the next chapter which I know will be fantastic. Beautiful inciting image of Taylor to help sustain us in the interim.

LOL, thank you, Crystal! Yeah, Taylor is very pretty.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Samantha! Fun to see Taylor "in the flesh."

Samantha Louise

No worries Emory, your work is always worth the wait. And little consolation prizes like this picture of Taylor certainly make the wait all that much more bearable. I have to say the artistic style you chose for Taylor Made is great. But this real life is amazing! It actually helps me buy into the story a little better. Not telling you the artist how to write your own story, but it might make for a really cool final episode if you did it all in real life style with Taylor talking with an editor and publisher as they show her the final draft of her illustrated life story about to be published under the title of course "Taylor Made". Anyway, just a thought. Thanks for the heads-up and the beautiful artwork adding more beauty to a lovely Saturday morning.

That’s a very powerful image, Emory: the set of the jaw, the resolve and determination in the eyes. All the doubt and uncertainty that have plagued Taylor from the start of the story have disappeared. Let’s hope that’s how it all works out in the end. And Boston is the city in the US that I know and love the best. Go Red Sox!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Hel! I am... with a lot of help with my friends. 💕

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Erica! You can think of this as the 'actress' playing her in the animated version, hehe

Emory Ahlberg

🤣 This was after Taylor said, "Eyes up here!"

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you so much for this, and for your patience, Diana. It means a lot. I'm so glad you're enjoying the art! This one was a lot of fun - a glimpse beyond the more stylized art for the story. So you can definitely think of this as the 'real' Taylor who is telling her story. I love that!

Emory Ahlberg

Thanks, Robert! I hope Taylor finds his (her?) way, too. It's just that the path from who we are to who we need to be is never a straight line. And yes! I love Boston. I went to college there, just like Taylor - although NOT at MIT 🤣 The whole vibe is just unmatched. Go Sox!

Thanks I am glad you like the idea. No expectation for you to use it. But I am flattered you saw something at least in the concept. Also not sure if this was an intimation, hint or Easter egg, or just completely random and unrelated. But I noticed in the titled of the “real life” pictures it says “Actress - Taylor”. Is that a hint at the direction and turns Taylor’s future in Boston may take? Or is it a reference to Taylor as a first semester freshman essentially being or seeing herself as an actress and not a real woman. Simply playing one for a semester to get and keep her scholarship? I suspect by second semester that view will change drastically.

Excuse typo I have just noticed - Tge last sentence should read ‘Beautiful enticing image of Taylor…’
