Kris makes a shocking demand that forces Ben to question everything he thought he knew about helping his old friend. When tensions boil over, she reveals a disturbing theory about who might be protecting Bella's operation from within.

Another big one at 37 panels! Kris is so fun to write, and I really like how the art turned out. Hope you enjoy the episode, and I can't wait to hear what you think. 💕 Thank you so much for your support!

Great episode Emory. I find with each episode Kris looks more and more beautiful. Her face is just so pretty. Her curvy body also has just the right curves and balance of beautiful feminine proportions. I also loved the two paced nature of this chapter that more fully reveals a greater depths of understanding into Kris’s personality. This in turn makes her feel so real. The first part of this episode has so much dramatic tension. It highlights Kris strength of character, her assertiveness and determination as she tries to convince Ben to join with her to help her achieve her freedom. Also revealing within this a ‘hardness’ of her attitudes and outlook within her that has arisen from all that she has been through. Whilst I love the images of Kris throughout this whole episode I was particularly blow away by the different facial expressions in this episode. Of particular note, Kris’s face in which she bears her teeth in image 6 followed by Ben’s surprised reaction in image 7. The second part of this episode is such a change of pace. So full of romantic tension and revealing the more vulnerable side of Kris. I love Alan’s sensitivity (and vulnerability) and the gentleness he showed within the way he responds to Kris. It was so endearing, a dream come true, to witness the ways he immediately provides to Kris the affirmation she needs and his validation and acknowledgement of Kris as a beautiful, desirable woman. I also love how this gentle, tentative seduction heats up as Kris embraces her sexuality and desires as a woman. Demanding Alan to dominate her, to ‘take me, I’m yours’ (wow), so sexy and so hot. The images here are so hot and sexy as you capture the ecstasy in Kris’s face. I particularly loved the image of Kris’s face pressed up against the window and the condensation on the glass arising from her passion as she appears to fully consume and give into being ‘taken’ by Alan. This image revealing how she so fully embraces her sexuality as a girl, and as ‘Alan’s woman.’ I know I will be pouring over this episode again and again, taking in al the subtle and not so subtle aspects of what is another amazing chapter in this story.

Terrific episode, Emory. What is Benji hiding? Will Kris make it back with her true love? This is the kind of soap opera that I really dig.

perfect episode, I was jealous of her from the last pages, will she want sexual resignation to please her beloved?

Usually I come here and comment on metaphor or allegory but today I’m going to deeply enjoy how much boy kissing (and other good stuff) happened to Kris. Get it girl, you deserve beautiful things!

Great episode. Glad we are getting back to that sword of Damocles and maybe getting to the C

Maggie Heels

OMFG... Oh boy, Benji... I think you're... fucked...

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Maggie! Benji might be fucked… but Kris DEFINITELY is… 😆

AB

It was Benji all along, Benji and Bella are the same person.

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Gemma! Yeah, I've really been trying to show how Kris's external beauty (and the effort she puts into her appearance) has become a reflection of her internal self-acceptance. That duality you pointed out is kind of at the core of her character right now. The hardness she shows Ben is pure armor, the survival instinct she had to build. Alan is the only person she feels safe enough with to take it off. Their intimacy is about passion AND it's about agency. It's the first time she's choosing to be vulnerable and demanding pleasure on her own terms, which is the ultimate reclamation of her body. 💕

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Kris! 💕 Maybe Benji's evil twin will show up lol

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Pedro! 💕 She and Alan make such an adorable couple for me. I love that she is so out of his league - and he knows it!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Jade! She's earned every single one of those beautiful, boy-shaped things. 💕

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Bella! That sword is about to drop. And it's very sharp. ⚔️

I’ll keep an eye out for the schedule then. Know which day to count down to

His taste in lingerie has gotten suspiciously good lately, hasn't it? 😉

Gemma

Thank you for englighting me further by sharing some insights and understanding into Kris and her ongoing journey.

Another WTF hold your breath chapter, and all while Kris is looking so beautiful and happy with Alan. The depth of Ben’s betrayal and deceit is simply breathtaking. Not only has he played Kris, but also Kayla. His alter ego is very well named! I had strong suspicions beforehand, but it gives me no satisfaction to see them fall into place. It also means that Kris is in an infinitely more vulnerable position than she knows: the trap is closing on her. It also makes you wonder what nefarious plans he might have for Kayla: psychopaths are never gentle for long. Please don’t close this season without a glimmer of hope, Emory. I for one couldn’t bear it. And especially so after the sheer joy and beauty of your art illustrating her reunion with Alan. That wasn’t sex, it was love. The details like her hand clutching the bedclothes and the condensation on the window - genius.

Robertlouis

You’re very insightful, Gemma. It’s just a shame that the conclusion of the chapter is so full of Ben’s darkness.

Jessika

Panel 37 billboard...wink!

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you, Robert! 💕 I'm so pleased you felt the love in that reunion because that's Kris's anchor. It's the one real thing she can hold onto while the world closes in. That joy with Alan is the glimmer of hope. It's not about whether the world is dark - it is. It's about whether you can find a light worth protecting in it. And, in my view, the thing about traps is that they're often built from good intentions and terrible choices, not just pure evil. Benji's a mess of contradictions right now, and Kris is walking a tightrope over all of them.

Oh I missed that first time ......nice little easter egg :-) x
