Club rush! Sandy is getting courted by the prettiest sorority on campus, while Nikki is being called skinny by a girl with abs.

One of them handles it better than the other. I’ll let you guess which.

This one is 24 pages and it was really fun! We have a new character that was a blast to write...

Ah, yes, Sandy seems awfully corruptible in this setting. She brushed off those comments about Nikki quite easily, I think the Mean Girls arc is well underway. Jessica's back! Missed you, girl! Probably feeling a liiiiittle left out these days. I'm so happy for Nicki having an avenue to keep being in sports while embracing a healthy environment... well, healthIER environment, it remains to be see how far Mack's bully-flirting goes. But I think this will be really good for Nicki. I HOPE it will be. A really fun chapter, Emory! Thank you! <3

Nicely played Emory. We can see the different pathways both girls are on. Both, I believe will encounter surprises as they try to fit in and, in Nikki’s case, reassert some sense of dominance in her new sport. Poor Sandy so easily seduces by positive praise and being included in the ‘popular girls group.’ For Nikki, it will be interesting to see how she responds to being seen spoken to in patronising way by Mack plays out. She is so used to being the number 1 guy (alpha male), it will be interesting to see how she responds to not even being seen as the alpha amongst other girls.

Spot on! Sandy has been cruising in her own orbit and her new recent experiences of being hot property seems to have forgotten Jessica. She will now be held to account and certainly will be brought back down to earth.

Ooh. Mack is fun. She's going to drive Nikki insane. And it feels like dodgeball might actually be a trans inclusive sport? I think Sandy is going to get a nasty shock if the sorority girls find out about her transness though. I'd be shocked if a Texan sorority was in any way progressive. Although, I hold out hope that I will be surprised and we don't have a Mean Girls cult thing going on here. Although early signs really aren't promising... And from having her ego fluffed, Sandy immediately gets brought down to earth with a bump. She's going have to do some serious fast talking to get out of this one. Already, this arc is promising to be really fun. I'm so looking forward to what's coming

Zeta Rho care a great deal about appearances, and Sandy has the appearance of pretty cis gender rich white girl, but they could also care not sure.

That was a fun episode! "I'm really not most girls" made me laugh. I won't say 'out loud' because if isn't out loud it isn't laughing. I also chuckled at "You know what Mom? I think you were wrong about the girls here. They're actually really sweet." Nikki is so right, and Sandy is so deluded. That said, I knew immediately that Mack was kidding about being hurt. So, Nikki is far from infallible. Since when, though, is writing your name in block capitals a signature? Nikki is attracting an interesting group of girls. I'm thinking of Evie, as well as Mack. Is two enough for a group? No matter, it's still early days. The girls Sandy's attracting are something else. Well, I don't think that Jessica would be angry if she wasn't attracted to Sandy. I always liked Jessica, and I'm glad to see her back in the mix. How glad or otherwise Sandy is remains to be seen.

Ut Oh! Things are getting intersting at St. Chris!!! Nikki is about to learn that being an Apex preditor Alpha Male and an Apex Preditor Alpha female are worlds apart. And she is woefully unprepared for the latter. And Sandy, poor Sandy, is in way over her head with the Zeta Roses. Moma Ferris was so right and tried to guide her, but Sandy is having to learn a few lessons the hard way. Including with Jessica! You have us on the edge of out seats yet again Emory. Pass the Beaver Nuggets or whatever the heck those things are called.

Getting interesting! Can't wait to see where this is all going. Nikki has multiple girls going after her now. Maybe she can learn that being a trans girl is not such a terrible thing. Learn to live in your own skin, even if it's not the skin you wanted.

Just wanting to add that Nikki’s body mannerisms are more and more unconsciously more with that a girl would typically display. Image 16, her physical reaction to when she thinks she has hit Mack is more aligned with how a girl would respond in this type of scenario. It will be interesting to see how the dynamic between Nikki and Mack plays out. I imagine a future scene in which Nikki might challenge Mack to an arm wrestler only to discover she is not as strong as this girl. This would be another blow to her already increasing fragile male ego. On another note, relationship wise, I’m still holding out for further romantic developments in Nikki’s relationship with Zach. Maybe the during the make up scene between Zach and Nikki (that often occurs following romantic hurt and a misunderstandings) they both may discover and experience heightened, and confusing, feeling of attraction towards each other. P.S. Also just wanted to acknowledge the coincidental sounding similarities between the names of Nikki’s potential suitors ‘Mack and Zach.’

If Jessica doesn't save Sandy from Kimberly, then I don't know why she came back to the story of our cheerful duo, because Nikki certainly won't do it—she'll be having a great time playing dodgeball with Mack. Great episode Emory - Mack pretending to be hit, maybe she really wanted to be hit🤔. I don't know, but Nikki's expression right after that is priceless😘💖.

So I have taken sometime before commentating on the last few episodes of Half Sisters. Of course the art is superlative, and Nikki and Sandy have never looked better, but it's the story that has really made me quite emotional. To see both characters growing and learning not just to cope but to flourish. It looks like Nikki is going down a path that perhaps me as a selfish trans girl would not want for her. Im a sucker for the girly happy in her femininity path (cliched I know but hey lol). But I guess that that is the point. Nikki is becoming her own person. Not someone her Mother or Sandy or Hutchinson or anyone else expects, but who she feels herself to be. As for Sandy I see her being kind of new to the world of girlhood and the challenges and perhaps not quite realising it. Wonderful emotionally rich storytelling xxx
