Big Pharma and their lawyers at best/worst - looks like they had prepared that this could happen... Shame about Lily, but Kevin(?) should meet new people at her new job :)

Maggie Heels

Well done Emory... another classic from you... Are you aware of that this is a perfect intro to 10+ chapter long story about adapting former construction worker to her new much more delicate life with help from sister and ex?

Soupy Dog

Agree - great basis for a new story

Why does he need to work? He would sue and win a court case.

Of course Kevin feels disoriented over the transition and loss of former life but soon he'll realize how many new doors will open for "her". With a body and face like that she can get just about any job she wants. Considering the professional experience she can work marketing for a construction company, or a sales rep for a construction material manufacturer; there are so many possibilities she doesn't even realize yet, even working for an architecture firm as construction administration. Keena has a whole new world ahead of her she may even like a lot more. No doubt love will come to her soon as well.

You bring up a great point, Pelican - while Kevin may be mourning the loss of his former life, this new reality also has potential for new experiences and opportunities. It's important to remember that change can be difficult, but it can also lead to growth and new possibilities. Who knows what the future holds for "Keena"? I like that name! 😊

Emory Ahlberg

Heck, you're right! It seems Big Pharma and their legal teams anticipated the potential side effects and prepared accordingly. But, hey, the pursuit of progress sometimes comes with unexpected consequences. 😂

Haha, thank you so much, Maggie! You know what, you're totally right - this could be the beginning of a whole series following our rebranded construction worker as she navigates this fresh, delicate life with some support from sis and maybe even the ex! Talk about character development and plot twists, right? We could be in for a rollercoaster of emotions and laugh-out-loud moments as Kevin discovers life on the "softer" side. Where's HBO when you need them?

Emory Ahlberg

Thank you! I have so many captions I'd love to expand - and hopefully will one day!

Emory Ahlberg

I'm sure he is suing! But those lawsuits can take years and a "girl" has to eat. 😉

This one is quite the bummer. And it hits home as someone who recently lost their job and had to push reset a bit on their life. Very real in that respect. (RWIW I found a new job and the family has relocated to a new house in a new town. All is well.)
