I love Nikki’s dream body being directly connected to her anxieties about her self-hood, regressing to her worst time, when she was at her softest (her interpretation) and in the least control (dream-Jill’s interpretation). Also, I imagine dream-Nikki aiming a kick at Holly on her way back to Texas.

I liked and very much agree with Nick/Nikki's inner dialogue, from his subconscious. What their dialogue is coming to say is that there is nothing wrong with being a kinder, gentler, more sensitive and caring person like he was before his forced feminization and putting himself in "his father's hands", and that having such attributes does not make you a weak person, on the contrary, that being confident in who you are yourself and loving yourself for who you are and taking control of your life without depending on the approval of others is what truly makes you strong...regardless of the wrapper you "inhabit". I think this dialogue is a very significant breakthrough for Nikki. I think she has realized that she was fighting the wrong battle, one that she has lost (her feminization), but that there are other, more important battles to fight (taking control of her life), with which she will succeed in winning the War. Sandy... wow! until page 21 of episode 36 of Halfsister season 2, she physically (I mean mainly her face), was not one of my favorites, from that milestone, she enters directly in my top 3, what a beauty! 😍

What an end of the episode, Nikki wakes up from a nightmare losing her feminine voice and realizes that she misses Sandy, I would miss such beauty too (looking at beautiful pinups). Email still written as Nick then maybe he misses Scott/Sandy?

Far out! I was so busy looking at Chapter 35 over and over again that I did not realise that you had released Chapter 36. My mind is still reeling, wow! You have done it again! The images you have created, the subtle and clever way they slowly develop snd shift and Nikki becomes more feminine and pretty as her dreams continues is so creative, movie like amazing. I also enjoy, love and still find it amusing the way you show Nikki’s ongoing defiance and denial of the obvious. The way she still refers to and perceives her breasts as being ‘flabby’ rather than conceding and acknowledging them for what they are, an attribute and feature that so clearly defines her current female status. I also love your the way you undertook the seque to reintroduce Sandy and a focus her ongoing story. Thanks Emory. I’m sure I will be continue to unpack and further look at these images and the themes of this chapter, such psychological depth, and with all of the planting of subtle seeds change being put in place. I will look forward over the next few days to revisiting your wonderful work. 🙏

Thank you, Nina! LOL - Jill is definitely a manifestation of Nikki's innate femininity. Or, more precisely, her version of POWERFUL and PROTECTIVE femininity. After all, Jill saved her twice. Thank you, Estacia!!! Nikki moving back in with her Mom is definitely a good suggestion -- though I think she has a bit more soul-searching to do before she’s ready to do that... At the moment it would feel like a failure. And YES... It was so fun to create cheerleader Nikki. She IS beautiful. And who knows what version of Nikki we'll see in the future? 😊

Nick/Nikki's journey is absolutely about realizing that strength comes from within and isn't determined by our outward appearance or societal expectations. It's a revelation that is far from easy to accept, especially for someone in Nick's situation. But I'm hopeful that this dream/nightmare experience is a significant turning point for Nikki's self-discovery and acceptance. As for Sandy... your words made me giggle! I'm glad to hear she's finally won you over. We all have our favorites, but it's always gratifying when a character grows on you in unexpected ways. Be prepared, Sandy just might climb even higher in your personal ranking! 😉 PS: I'm wondering who is currently holding the other two spots in your top 3? 😉

When Nikki first wakes up she's stuck in her feminine voice for a moment and immediately writes to Scott, seeking out someone who can relate to his struggles...but she's definitely nervous and anxious for her friend! Her emotions are becoming more active for sure.

I just love the transformation of not just the outside, but the inside too. How it all comes together from tough boy railing in anger 'I'll never be a girl!' because he's SO sure. To months later changing at a subconscious level. Freudian anxieties developing, not always easily into that basic truth. That he's a girl. More and more everyday! A boyfriend getting closer in the timeline... there's no shame in that. A cheerleader starting to get a crush on one of the players. I love the anxiety of that, shown through this dream.

I really enjoyed this one and it made me think a bit too. Slides 4 and 5 slapped. You can be a little sissy and still be strong. And you can be a big strong man and be a weakling. You see it now more than ever. But it was cool how you laid it out.
