We're excited to have Pomplamoose/Scary Pockets /Patreon founder Jack Conte and his wife Nataly on to talk about how their band Pomplamoose makes music. Jack is an incredibly inspiring guy who has his fingers in many creative pies and I wouldn't be typing this into Patreon right now without his influence.

Do you have a constant studio setup that’s ready to record at anytime or are the Instagram videos filmed in one batch?

Very excited for this one. Jack and Natalys 'videosongs' were some of the first incredible music I found on Youtube back when it was just finding its shape as a platform. Back in 2008 - in kind response to a blind YouTube DM from someone he didn't know at all - Jack sent me stems for his song 'Yeah Yeah Yeah' which was very very cool and something he didn't have to do! - it really stuck with me :) -------- Q: From both of your perspectives - how does it look and feel to have been creating and releasing music from essentially the start of 'music on/for youtube' to now? What was it like trying to find your feet as artists/DIY creators with that kind of 'uncharted territory' online? How do you think that compares to the challenges of artists trying to do essentially the same thing for themselves now - but with a completely different set of platforms/ecosystems etc?
