What role do vocal effects play in your recording and writing process? Given how significant a role auto-tune plays in your sound, do you song-write with it or simply add in post?

Paul Parncutt

You’ve worked with Jack Antonoff before on a Bleachers cover, and your BBC interview with him was great fun - any plans for a reunion, maybe on one of your tracks?

Aaron Edwards

How does your environment affect your songwriting and/or production choices? Does a laptop / sm7 / headphones in small room type setup change your approach and process from when you would work out of a bigger studio room full of kit?

Carl Carlsson

Question for all 3: What's your best tip/routine for staying organised, efficient while working on many projects at the same time. Like how do you make a full album without getting overwhelmed by the process.

Monica

For George: has working on a club record with Charli inspired you to put out more club/house music of your own? Perhaps on your own label? (Tell us about dhii!)

For all 3: While writing for an album (be it BRAT, Britpop or Being funny in a foreign language), what is the writing funnel like? In other words, how many demos actually make it to fully produced songs, and out of those how many actually make it to the released record? What's that decision process like? And ultimately how do you find the north star for that album's universe?

speedpizza2000

How does he make those pitched voices so characteristic of A.G. Cook?, specifically in the song "... Girl, so confusing"

Joe

Which track off BRAT took the longest to complete? Which was the shortest to finish?

rookang777

What do you do to make Charlis vocals so digital and robotic yet not sound super autotuned and still have that human quality to them?

Jonathan Druker

How is it to work together as a couple? How do you make the separation between work and life? If there was a bad session, do you succeed to not take it home with you?

ClaireD279

For George: how have you found producing Charli’s music to the 1975? Can you work on both at the same time or do you prefer to work on things one at a time?

Tommy Taylor

How did they create the vocal effect and placement of vocals, sometimes they are dry and upfront, other times they’re wide and digital without what seems to be chorus or reverb???

Earl Carlson

What was the process like for so many of the songs on the new album. They feel like they were recorded very fast and raw, but obviously so much more goes into them. There's a beautiful balance of emotional honestly along with these hooks that are spectacular, but then again they feel like work that people not of their level would make. Not in a bad way, it's more so that there's an honesty to everything that feels refreshing given all of the over-production of a lot of work these days.

Sebastiaan van Ravenhorst

how do you know when to stop polishing lyrics? do you ever look back on something you wrote and think ''I shouldn't have changed that line or this word'', or is it usually more like ''I wish I would have spent more time on it''? any golden tips for getting the best out of a song lyrically and letting it go?

Amanda Johnson

For Charli: love your work brat is amazing! How has your writing process, specifically lyrically, changed throughout the years? A lot of lyrics on recent projects sound a lot more raw and personal which carries great juxtaposition with the autotune processing, but overall am very interested in your approach to writing lyrics nowadays verses in the past. Thanks so much for your music

Sliccnut

For Charli: Love the new album. When you are scheduled for events and appearances do people ever ask you to not show your nipples? Or is it something that every one expects now? Curious to see how you'll show up for this interview. Thanks!

Shelly

Speaking from your experience would you have any advice/tips for a bedroom producer on how to turn demo's into songs? I have a bunch of them and feel at a bit of an impasse because I'm a newbieeee. Also, looove the new album <333

Courtney

Charli! What's your favorite mic to record with?
