Some pods I listen to put reruns out when they’re on a break. They make it really obvious, so as to avoid confusion (or I guess a possible backlash like you seem to have unbelievably got) and I really like it. With about 10 years of content is this something you guys could do to fill the void? Maybe Casey or the writers could introduce them with 30 seconds of why this particular past episode was memorable/impactful/important to cover? Thanks for what you do and how you do it and I laughed out loud at Casey reading his aunts true crime mags because I used to go halvers on those at the newsagents aged 13 with my bestie. I’ll never forget the Acid Bath Murderer!!

Lisa

Not sure why the complaints you all do such a fantastic job. Shouldn't have to even apologise.

Julie Faubion

I love you guys and appreciate needing time to refresh. Thank you!

The Behind the Files are informative and I enjoy listening. It’s fun to see how the eps are made.

Amber

This is actually a really good idea. With so many episodes, it's easy to forget what we've heard, or the details of a particular case. It's the main reason I always listen to the Patreon Picks when they come out on the main feed. That's a great way to calm those Casefile-break withdrawals too 😂

Siân

Yeah I always listen again to them too! 😆

Matt Reid

I don't have a great memory for names. I would like to take advantage of the bonus episodes, as I have been a Patreon member for quite some time. But, it's frustrating to sort through them to find the ones that haven't made it to the main feed. Would it be possible to provide a list of those particular bonus episodes? Or annotate those releases so they are easier to find? Thanks for considering.

I find Patreon to not be user friendly at all...especially for sorting things like you mentioned. As a person with pretty severe ADHD, I'm easily overwhelmed when scrolling through the feed. I wish the developers would change the interface to be more streamlined, and less 'busy', as there's just too much going on and it's so distracting!

Matt Reid

Agreed. A little too busy. I'm actually an ADHD coach. So my ADHD is super under control. So I'm pretty confident in saying, it's not you. It's patreon.

Tessa

Thank you so much for answering my question 😊 the second example was a bad example, but thank you for understanding the gist of my question. Your process is pretty much what I had imagined but it was great to hear you guys describe it. It's what I love about your episodes and the casefile writing style - the way you bring the case to life

Tessa

(It wasn’t a criticism, it was meant to be a complement!)

Thank you for confirming that for me Matt....! Sometimes when I tell people about how my ADHD makes things (like Patreon) overwhelming for me, I often get told I'm too "picky" or "overly dramatic", or even that I "catastrophize" everything 😑. And the worst one, that I imagine you've likely heard before – as most of us ADHD'ers probably have – is the charming quip: "We're all a little bit ADHD sometimes." Um no, Nancy...that's not at all how any of this works.... 🙃 It's really hard sometimes trying explain to non ADHD'ers how much 'my' ADHD truly affects me, every single hour of every single day, without being called one of those ignorant words above.

Ripley's Jaye

Also, that's so great that you're an ADHD coach! So hey.....ya got any (free) tips on how to better manage life with ADHD? 😅

Sorry you have to deal with people being so silly. I hope you do manage to take a holiday at some point, it would be incredibly tough to write and record these types of episodes without good holiday time. Love the quality of the show, thank you!

Matt Reid

I would suggest adding some folks with more empathy to your circle. And you are welcome to check out my blog for 12+ years of free tips... Including listening to Case File while cooking dinner and folding laundry. TheInPlace.net

I can't believe people are complaining. Sooo ridiculous. How do they not understand why you guys take a break

You all are amazing and my favorite Podcast for many years now. I can handle breaks because of what you produce. Thanks for your hard work and dedication to the truth! - Heather in Colorado
