Case 319 Theresa Feury, how is this even possible in this day and age. This one really stumped me. Are people that gullible?

Demi V

For General: I noticed in the last few episodes Erin's written there has been some superb wording choices (in the case of Veronica Abouchuk & Kathleen Henry, calling it "addiction disorder" and Theresa Feury calling it "sexual assault"). Are these conscious decisions or just second nature in the writing process? It made a big impact on how the rest of the stories unfolded to me. For Vincent Viafore: having covered so many of these stories by now, do you feel like the issue of misreading cultural queues (like being more stoic in the Eastern European countries or talking to police in a second language) happens in a lot of cases? And do you think that's what happened in this case or the police were on the right track suspecting Angelika?

Hello guys, another Demi here lol, my question is... I love Australian cases, What's your most memorable case off the cuff? GO! Mine is Mr cruel

Trace Lace

For Case 319 Theresa Feury-do you think the system( social workers and law enforcement) were more willfully ignorant , plain ignorant or just couldn’t be bothered/care about what was going on in that house?

AR

for ep 318 i've got to know if you guys think he did it!!!!

I was very surprised and disappointed to hear the negative comments and feedback you were getting re your summer break. It was really weird to me. To be honest, there are so many podcasts out there that your taking time out shouldn't matter at all. Of course we all miss you, but jeez!! And also, what's important to me about paying for podcasts is not having ads - I just hate them! I love your episodes, even the Q&A's. You do a great, very professional job, and I'd like to say thanks for that!

Mr Chips

Case 319 Theresa Feury was one of the most bizarre cases I’ve heard!! I cannot believe someone of sound mind would do this... I still don't understand what was Marie's objective, she was evidently not making money out of these people. What was her motive...?? Also, I wonder if Marie had abused “Helen” in California before moving to NJ... I just have a feeling based on the way she spoke about Helen to Mary is very similar to how she spoke about Ricky.

Winter break***

Mr Chips

A simple Ice breaker for the writers and Casey: 1) Is this podcast your entire job, is it a side gig, or do you have a side gig apart from Casefile? 2) If you could visit the location (city/area) of a case covered in this show, which case do you pick and what location? (Example: Krakow, Poland from the Vampire of Krakow case)

Susan Rachel

Fiona, same. I was sad to hear Casey's frustration with listeners. There are many true crime podcasts that don't use the same level of care that Casefile does. I listen specifically because of the extensive preparation the team takes with each case. Casefile team, please keep doing what you are doing and know that the vast majority of your loyal listeners love Casefile just the way it is and are happy to take the breaks with you.

Susan Rachel

Several of the cases involved cross cultural investigations that went sideways. Obviously the care taken in this regard is different between agencies, but it seems that understanding different cultures is a weak spot for law enforcement. Even differences between men and women can be misunderstood. What education should law enforcement receive on cultural differences? Is there a particular agency or country that seems to excel at this?

Susan Rachel

For the general Q&A, what case do you wish you could cover but there just isn't enough information to do it properly?

Demi V

Gotta add my initial so they can tell us apart 😆

Demi A

Girl! 👋🏻 That's why I put mine on, nice to meet you

Mr Chips

Can you please tell Mike the music for Case 320 was considerably creepy and amazing? Also, I noticed a new name in the credits for audio editing. Can someone describe what kind of job or role they play in the editing of the episode? Sorry for flooding your box with questions! Thank you!!

Alex May

I love your questions. You always seem to ask what I want to but my chaos goblin brain always forgets to articulate it properly.

Alex May

I gravitate to some super weird ones. E.g. the someset man is one I want turned into a movie or something. And the Wanda Beach murders (case #1 if memory serves, I'd love to see an update on that too... Also wild that there's 2 x Demi's here! I went to high school with one who moved away and I missed her terribly when she left.

Demi A

The somerton man is what made me fall in love with CF ❤️ Hello 👋🏻🤗

Alex May

Somerton is what I meant, Apologies in my inaccuracy, as and ADHD mum my words fail me often... I've always been biassed towards CF - Casey needs to do audiobooks or something, or guided meditation recordings, I'd love that too... that way my husband can stop being such a ... when I end up falling asleep to such morbid and unhinged content.

Will Snowtown ever be reuploaded? Y’all have the best version of this case

Demi V

It's a super Greek name so I knew 3 growing up, plus 3 cousins, and then learned in school that it was not as common as my community led me to believe. 😆 Always a happy day to meet more!

Demi A

I didn't know it was Greek, good to know

David Knight

Love casefile but just started listening to the Bakersfield 3 after you guys uploaded first episode. Wow! Probably best podcast I’ve ever listened to 🙏🏼 sorry not a question but just wanted to say this after all the recent drama 😂

Hi Casefile team. I too, am really keen to hear a Casefile of this case. It’s been unavailable since I’ve been a listener. Any plans for this, please?

Magz

So nice to see a positive comment section again! Can’t wait for Casefile to return from their WELL deserved “break” and appreciate this content in the meantime!!!!

Magz

I’m so frustrated with those listeners and comments. Obviously I’m biased because I’m here (and taste is subjective) but i can’t think of another true crime podcast that comes anywhere close to the consistent excellence Casefile produces. Over this break I’ve been relistening to old episodes, from ones earlier this year that I didn’t pay attention to super closely or sub-100 # episodes, which sometimes feels like a very different podcast. It’s all excellent storytelling across the board. I am glad they changed the writing style for the descriptions they used for episodes in the #200s though, I keep reading descriptions for older episodes I forgot about and I’m like… that tells me literally nothing about the case lol. Still always excellent though.

Hailey Mills

Unrelated to the cases you mentioned but I was wondering if you’d ever redo eps where you originally posted it as an unsolved case and it’s since been solved? Like Libby German and Abigail Williams?
