Mr Chips

Questions about Case 338 The Folbigg Children are being answered in the upcoming BTF or the next one?

Hip Kitty

You've been doing so many great cases since you started. I was shocked that you hadn't already covered Dennis Rader (not referring him to to his self-named other "personality"). Just wondering what prompted you to finally cover him?

Miajane

This case was so shocking. I’m from Newcastle and Mayfield even more specifically, so hearing my suburb mentioned in the first 30 seconds of a horrific case that I had never heard about was crazy.

Ashley Fadden

Thank you all for providing this information and in such a respectful manner. Your research and delivery are unmatched.

Nathan Kroussoratis

I am an apple subscriber. I can see there is an update on the upcoming schedule but its blocked, is there any way possible you can please release an audio version to keep the apple/spotify members up to date

Casefile

Next one. It will be a Separate BTF

Mr Chips

I am so curious to know what all of your days look like? How do you organize your writing time, do you take lunch breaks, are you a night owl or an early bird?

Justin Snider

So many of these bigger cases have multiple books written about them. How often do you read these books? How do you decide which ones and do you have any stand out case-specific books (about any case) that you'd recommend?

Suicide Sauce

as a fellow Australian, what do you think about the recent rash of candida cases in Southern Canberrafornia?

Mairead Spark

I really enjoyed The Folbigg children series. I am curious as to why you chose to name the episodes 'The Folbigg Children' even though they weren't really victims considering Kathleen was acquitted. Normally you name the episodes after victims, so I guess it's an interesting choice you guys have made there.

Matt Crawford

Do you think confirmation bias played the biggest role here, or was it more systemic in your eyes/research?

Kylie H

I have a general question that you may or may not be able to answer. In Australia, (or even other parts of the world if you know) if a suspected murderer has died before going to trial, can the case still be closed? If so, what's the process?

Tessa

I know you didn’t ask me lol but here I am! I know from listening to a British true crime podcast that if the alleged perpetrator dies before trial, they technically die innocent and the case is closed. I’m pretty sure even if they die before they have the opportunity to appeal but they had intended to do so, they also die innocent in the eyes of the law? The details on that are a little sketchy but it’s something along those lines. But yes, essentially the case is procedurally closed as if it were solved, just no conviction would be recorded.

Vivien

Hi, I’m unable to listen to the podcasts because I keep being told to upgrade to listen. I’m already subscribed until December 26.

Casefile

Hi Vivien. It says that you are a free member according to what we can see on our end. That wouldn't allow you access to the early release and ad free eps.

Vivien

No I’m paid up to December. How do I send you a screenshot please?

Nicole Ennis-Oakes

Hi Casefile, I’m writing to let you know I rarely listen to you anymore. You used to be my favourite podcast – nothing compared. However, your latest stories have been done by others many times. I’ve already heard your last three elsewhere, more than once, and also, there seem to be far fewer new episodes. Released overall. For example, Peter Ellis and The Cteche -others have told the same story very well. Seeing so many episodes dedicated to well-known cases is extremely disappointing. the podcast’s quality has always been excellent, but surely there are interesting fresh cases out there.? For instance, the case of Dane McNeil, murdered by two brothers and taken in a suitcase by his best friend to be set on fire. Please use your talent to cover more fresh, interesting and lesser-known cases. I miss you!

Her being acquitted doesn't mean the children aren't still victims

I'm an Apple subscriber too. Do you also find it frustrating to already be paying, yet not have access to the episodes and comments on Patreon?

Ripley's Jaye

Are you subscribed on Apple and not Patreon perhaps?

Ripley's Jaye

As an Apple subscriber, I really wish that we also had access to the episodes and comments on Patreon as well, so that we can also interact with the community. It obviously doesn't make sense to have double subscriptions on both platforms, and your subscription on Apple offers more options for monthly/annual amounts. On Patreon it's in USD (I'm Canadian) and the monthly amounts are quite a bit higher than on Apple.

NS

Hi I’m having the same issue as Vivien. Mine also says I’m a free subscriber but I’ve paid for the subscription. How do I change it to the paid version? Thanks!

Casefile

Hello. Best to send us a message with all the details and screenshots. Thank you.
