What conditions does this trader have for Stephanie for her to trade back? Does this seem like something Stephanie can pull of? We shall see.

Steph’s like “yes, I will definitely stay surrounded by English speakers… I can’t foresee any upcoming trips and/or passport issues that would change that…”

TrueRonin88

Still, I count it as a much needed win after the last meeting was such a disaster

roseleaf

She at least has a path to get this one back, and no deadline.

roseleaf

Not like she is planning to go to a country that would set back any progress she would make.

Smartkittykhan

Hope she learns to enjoy her "exotic" accent...

Halima Abdi

I have a feeling Stephanie's going to stay bilingual either way.

TrueRonin88

Yup. As I just found out, she would be getting Ha-Eun's re-learned Korean language skills. Which makes sense

roseleaf

It should be interesting, in Korea it would be Mina's word bubble that won't match anyone else's.

roseleaf

All depends on how long Stephanie takes, and how quick of a study this woman is.

TrueRonin88

Being able to actually learn a language is a skill in and of itself. And Steph's progress might not make it up to Ha-eun's expectations quickly. So probably at least however long she is in her program.

Czarzhan

Steph is immersed in English speakers, and she started (post trade) with rudimentary English skills. The other girl is not surrounded by Korean speakers and is starting from scratch. Advantage Steph.

Ravyn

nicest blackmail ever, Stephanie gets the raw deal though, become bilingual to get your english back

Natalia

Very interesting! I can definitely see her POV, losing English proficiency in the middle of a school semester would be very very bad. Steph’s life is much less linguistically strenuous. I wonder how much she’ll be able to realistically re-learn Korean though, being in that environment.

roseleaf

It really is up to Ha-eun when she wants to trade back.

roseleaf

Stephanie absolutely has the advantage on learning. The most Korean pre-trade Stephanie was exposed to was Squid Game with the subtitles on.

roseleaf

Either way, there will likely be some Korean stuck in her brain.

roseleaf

Hanna definitely has a harder road for relearning Korean. But she is also in a Master's degree program and determined enough to do well to take a trade to perform better. Seems like she could be pretty effective when she wants to be.

Lemon Snaik

Bad deal. And I hope she loses those credits
