What if they had agoraphobia and they were freaking themselves out by being so open and wanted the comfort of social anxiety back? It doesn’t make much sense but it would fit with them not wanting to meet lol

I meant the person who did the trade, it was incredibly selfless of them to voluntarily re-inflict their old illness on themselves, after being free of it for months.
