Lexi and Lydia continue to have a discussion with their mother. Trying to not feel left out.

Mom is apparently big on gender norms.

Hank

Wouldn't it be fun if Lexi's parents swapped genders to know how the gender norms effect them

roseleaf

It would be a worthy social experiment.

roseleaf

Unfortunately, but hopefully something she can work on.

Czarzhan

Well, it seems to be simple assumptions, nothing malicious.

Natalia

I’ve had opportunities to go fishing before and it’s never seemed even remotely appealing. I fully don’t understand the sister’s POV lol

roseleaf

It's less about fishing and more about never being invited to spend time with her dad.

Natalia

Ah, well I was raised by a single mom so that’s something else I don’t get 🤷‍♀️ Honestly, now that I think of it… the reluctance probably has more to do with me hating my dumbass chud uncle than hating any specific thing. Sorry this comment is probably a little too personal.

Joseph Markese

It's a lot harder on us older generations.

Joseph Markese

The stereotypes, the negativity.. the basic programming... the badly mistranslated mythology.. it's been piles deep.

Joseph Markese

While I agree it would be a worthy social experiment, it may break them.

Brenda

Lexi's shirt is see-through in the 4th panel.

Thank you for the heads up! Im not sure when it will get fixed. I was having issues uploading to Patreon yesterday. Im waiting for it to get resolved.

I opted to go with a specific experience on this one. I think it's more of larger families where being left out of an activity based on gender is more clear. My partner has this with her dad where he takes the boys golfing on Father's Day. While she's not a golfer, she would also like to spend time with him. She'd be happy to sit in the cart and spend time with him. My mom and sis has gone on girls trips and excluded me as the other other person in the family, but it also doesn't bother me as much as I did not want to be there. And I see my mom one-on-one all the time. It's just the three of us.
