Why would Lexi and Isabelle think Young-Mi/Stephanie/Wyatt's Mom would ever have any kindness in her to help them out. She clearly is disgusted by what her kid is doing. She would probably want to just leave her in South Korea and say she should find her own way back home. Or just want to leave her in South Korea because she sees her as shaming her and the family. Either way, she is definitely going to be of no help, so I don't know why Lexi or Isabelle would bother suggesting the idea.
